  1. Well shit, so I guess Wade Allison or someone else gets the call up?

That’s definitely going to leave a defensive hole but should open up some offense with Frost.

Might explain why he hasn’t been producing much as of late.

I could see them not calling anyone up until next week when they go on the road, unless someone is dealing with an illness we don’t know about. That would let the call up get two more AHL games of work before coming the 13th forward. Plus the Phantoms are home so its not a long trip even to Pittsburgh in case of an emergency.

If I had to guess who it would be I’d say Laczynski. He has NHL experience, is off to a great start in the AHL, and plays C with the ability to play the wing which as been Cates role. He was also one of the last forwards cut. Having him at C also allows Poehling to play up the line up. I think there is a dark horse chance it’s Tuomaala, Torts likes speed and he has tons of it, like Lacyznski, he was in the last round of training camp cuts and has been red hot as of late. But given his rocky development road I would guess they want to leave him where he is. Desnoyers another potential call up but given that they are competitive and Torts has said they are looking to win, I think the more experienced Laczynski is who they are gonna go with.
