  1. Big signing for Detroit. He's going to be very helpful in mentoring the young core. Debrincat is going to be a happy camper.

  2. Hope he does well. One of my favs for so long.
He would be the first player to successfully return after a hip resurfacing..if he can pull it off

  3. Omfg let’s go I’m a redwings fan and finally we will hopefully be in playoffs this year

  4. Can we talk about Tyler Pitlicks interference call for throwing a fucking body check too? Absolutely insane how bad these refs are

  5. Even if he's doesn't produce on the ice, his experience will be invaluable to all the young talent on the Detroit roster. It's not every day you can just land yourself a 3 time Stanley Cup Champion for a bargain deal. He'll more than likely play with DeBrincat again too, so that will be fun to watch.

  6. LOL wow Eck, look at your new fans below! You're attracting quite the, uh…. following. You running a pimp business on the side now?

  7. Cautiously optimistic about this as a Wings fan. Hopefully he's feeling up to the task after his surgery, but if not, low risk contract. Also, having lived through the peak years of the CHI/DET rivalry I have my own personal reservations about this but I'm choosing to suppress those feelings. 😅

  8. I don't think any player has returned to form following that surgery. Maybe he'll be the first, but I am skeptical.

  9. why wouldn't he just go somewhere warm with low tax like florida? seems like a terrible near retirement move for him.

  10. Worst case scenario LTIR or Elite bottom 6 veteran at a reasonable price for 1 year

Best case scenario Elite top 6 veteran at a very low price for 1 year

Very low risk high reward kind of situation

  11. Suddenly the Redwings are a competitive team again this year, adding Patty.. damn. Gonna have to keep my eyes on them.

  12. Kind of surprised he didn't go with a better team. The Wings are only a couple of points in a playoff spot and could be a fringe team by the end of the year, and I don't see them making a Cup run with this roster, even after adding Kane.

  13. This sounds good. Time to go to THG to see if it's true, since he reports "facts" while everybody else (this channel included) only report rumours and speculations

  14. I like where the Wings are going, but I'm not really sure about this deal. Thankfully, the contract won't impact the salary cap too much. I hope it works out.

  15. Wings aren't cup contenders, so this is strange, but the contenders have zero cap space, so it's not so strange. Low-risk, so I'm okay with it.
