  1. Amazing game. Happy times as Oiler fans again! Hopefully this trend continues.
    Thanks for the breakdown Patrick!!

  2. I thought it was wasnt only Skinner looking shakey at the beginning but rather the guys in front of him didn’t know what to do and Connor getting trapped on the ducks second goal I believe but obviously made up for it later on in the game

  3. This Schedule coming up will test them. Need to see where the defence is because there’s no easy games coming up? Cambell will definitely be a conversation at some point hopefully his trade value increases!

  4. Last season we were 10-10-0 after 20 games. We're only 5 points behind last season's pace. Rumors of our early demise may have been wildly exaggerated.

  5. Looking forward Patrick! Should be good hopefully we get a big W especially with VGK on the tail end of a back to back

  6. Good game after the first 6 minutes. Hopefully it continues. Vinny has more points than Brown.

  7. Mcd and Drai just look angry all the time, even when they score, and frankly that should terrify the league

  8. Three more aspects to this game which would be worth mentioning was the aggressive forechecking and backchecking by the Oilers, their excellent passing through the middle ice and their physicality in this game. In fact, Evander Kane led the way with ten hits against Anaheim and with all of this very effective play, the Ducks became frustrated which was shown in their never ending trips to the penalty box which doomed them to face the deadly powerplays for which the Oilers have become famous. So, off we go with the pedal to the metal!!

  9. Still think we got to get rid of Campbell and Mcload for another goalie add the ducks ro the teams we can dump Campbell too

  10. Oilers have now scored 23 goals in their last 5 games, scoring was never the issue despite what the critics have been saying

  11. Skinner is not a starter play Picard he is wayyy better, man some of these oilers need to get going soon McLeod is one of them should of kept kostin

  12. They deserved a better fate in Tampa and Florida, the goaltending was suspect in those two games and Skinner was the shits in Carolina.
Glad to see he bounce back the last 2, even more so glad he was able to re-group tonight earlier in the season Skinner would of crumpled.
It was nice to see Brown get a point finally.
Big shout out to Paul Coffey as you can clearly see his impact on the D.

  13. Im sure of it last season we only ever tied our wins a losses. We never once had more losses then wins last year. Here we blew that

  14. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Anaheim Ducks. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones provided to give a foundation. My comments and observations at the end.

The first period actually "seemed" close with it going back and forth a lot. Then reality (otherwise known as McDavid (with a side dose of Hyman, Nurse, well the list goes on) set in and the Ducks got an a$$ whoopin). PK was perfect. PP went 2 for 6 (so only 1/3rd (chortle). They gave up a lot less penalties (which is good). Biggest surprises: Hamblin, Erne, Desharnais (2 point night, does anyone remember that happening like EVER), both first and second PP scored. Nurse with 3 apples. Honestly Draisaitl, Kane, and Desharnais must be slacking only having 2 point nights not 3 or more (I jest of course). Bouchard ONLY getting one point and it wasn't even a goal (and he didn't take a shot). Right now Hyman leads the team in goals (HYMAN). Something must have happened to Leon because his minutes were way down, the number of faceoffs he took were way down. The ONLY people with 's in the +/ column were Ceci (who didn't play all that bad), McLeod, and Foegele. Everyone else 0 or higher. In the base information area the only two huge differential sets are hits (38 for the Ducks, 24 for the Oilers) and the PP goals (2 of 6 for Oilers, 0 for 3 for Ducks). Other than that pretty even. Take care all.

  15. Skinner looked terrible again. Shot #1 went off his head and almost a goal , shot #2 was a goal, shot #3 a goal, shot 4 a massive rebound on the softest of shots that almost went right on a Ducks stick! game would of been over if they scored that because the team would of collasped! Then 2 posts before they got to shot 10! but the Ducks quit after 1st period and it was a easy game. This team needs so much help in net and so many believe Skinner is good it blows my mind!

  16. I'm glad the oilers won, but I'm glad everything is out in the open now. Fire the goalie coach, get a stanley cup goalie, get bugstad, kostin and barrie back, get rid of Holland. McDavid is healed up. Now help them make the playoffs.

  17. That's a big bonus to have on the cap next season even when he walks Oilers will still be playing him Oilers still needs that snarl and grit and goalie

  18. Holy hell!! the savior of the team Connor Brown picked up a point.. woohoo!! Yamamoto and Kostin who? maybe they'll try to swing some trade with whoever else has some connection to the Erie Otters while McDavid was there, like Taylor Raddysh in Chicago. Or Dylan Strome, Alex DeBrincat, Dane Fox? still not good enough to win it all. Oilers fan for 35+ years here.
