What a calm, collected game
Blues are going to have to figure something out defensively. Last 4 games:
– 38 shots against vs perds
– 33 shots against vs the hawks
– 37 shots against vs the mild and
– 45 shots against the Sabres

Getting outshot 45 to 20 and winning the game probably isn’t sustainable

Huge game from Binner, the offense capitalized on their chances but we still wouldn’t have won with those 6 goals if Binner didn’t show up.
I’ll take the W but Jesus if binnington isn’t in net, it’d be a slaughter.
Craig Berube got onto that bench, remained professional, and did not commit any inappropriate sexual acts towards any of the players.

How does Binner let 4 in against Buffalo…
The Sabres are built to play that kind of game, so that’s more or less how you have to beat them. They aren’t really focused on playing tight defense, especially when they’re trailing. They kept blowing their defensive assignments to cheat up ice or hold the puck in, so it allowed the Blues to get a lot of great scoring chances. But that aggressive approach also allowed them to get a lot of puck possession on the Blues’ passive defensive approach in their own end.
