You should trade huberdeau! Just Look how much better Florida is without him. Instead you trade a stud D man to a division rival and get nothing back in the foreseeable future.
The Calgary Flames would be crazy to trade Tanev – a first rd. pick would not be as good as Tanev! The Flames did ok I think with the trade for Nikita Zadorov. Clear cap room and get a few picks back. I would have like a few young players back instead of the picks.
ie – F- Nicholas Robertson- D- Conor Timmins from the Leafs.
It will be ok without Zadorav but You better resign Tanev & Hannifin. That's all I can say I don't want Flames to be the farm team for the NHL again this year hopefully we learned from our mistakes

If all Corny got was a 3rd and 5th for the most sought after flames dman Zadorov, imagine what Tanev will bring back. Flames will be lucky to get a 5th rounder for Tanev at best. Be very afraid Flames fans, meet the new boss, same as the old Boss.
Conroy is a rookie GM, I don't think he's flat out won a trade yet. Sharangovich is a serviceable player who can give you 20 goals, but losing Toffoli really hurt. Zadorov is a bottom pair D at best. Conroy inherited a mess from Treliving and Sutter though.
He got 2 picks for a guy that didnt want to be there
This core is rotten. It couldn’t win with Johnny and Tkachuk in their primes. They aren’t going to win now. Trade the vets and do a proper rebuild for the first time in 30 years.

Straight shooter. No different guy than when he played. Honest 200 foot guy with character grit and yeah talent.
Everyone wasnt happy with the toffoli trade but Sharangovich has been getting visibly better, is younger and cheaper. Toffoli has obviously been better this year but he's a vet who is playing with a top 5 player in the league.

This trade will finally shut up the Toronto pundits who had Zadorov wearing blue and white as some kind of prophetic certainty. It was getting a little silly there for awhile.

zadorov is worth more than his draft pick because he made it to the nhl….. better than most 3rd rounders

i think people werent too huge about the return but hearing connie say himself he feels the same, he knows whats up and hearing him talk about why he pulled the trigger, very down to earth, hes been working with what hes got on the last two trades.. and i trust him to b able to do continue to put this hockey team in a good place. theres alot of other factors then just straight up tradiing a guy for max return.. and i think cowboys got a good grip on the realities of a hockey club. so from what im hearing from this, cause we all thought trade big Z for a second pick ..but turns out teams wanted cap rentention which connie didnt want to give up this early in the season.. so this return is probably one of the higher returns out there in reality cause no salary cap was a thing. and also this trade has many more factors involved which makes the timing of the trade a good bussiness move. like he said we can bring up more guys now like a matt coronato , it gets a guy out who didnt want to be there necessarily and lets everyone move on which is good. its a pivot move with alot of tangibles id say . yes on paper the return isnt what u wanted but being able to get this done now was probably a healthier decison for the hockey club and sometimes u gotta do things like that.
I don't care if we paid a third rounder for him. He is a proven D man that has grown as a player since coming to Calgary. He played with a broken rib if not 2 during the playoffs. That shows character. He is also a big hitter which is very valuable, especially in the playoffs, We should have gotten at least a 2nd. 2 bad trades, if there is one more bad one, time to move on from him.
