Ive watched every NJ Devil game since 2011-2012 Season & gladly made a bet that I will not watch another Devils game this Season if they Lost to SJ.
In the 3 Game Win Streak the best lines were: TOFFOLI-JACK-MERCER & Holtz-McLeod-Lazar… Nico's line wasn't clicking even w/ him having back to back 2 pt. Games it was NOT from HIS LINE… So, Ruff decides to change Jack & Mcleods lines that were on fire🤯 Nico's line was better than the others for the FIRST Game, yet they Lost, maybe Nico's line should of been changed w/ the addition of Timo & NOT Jack/Mcleod's line, that were good.
Either way I lost the bet & won't watch NJ, until next year. It sucks, but kinda doesnt matter as they will not even make it past 1Rd IF they even make it to the playoffs after losing 6-3 to SJ who only ALLOWED 1 Goal in EVERY SINGLE ONE of their Away Games & score 6! VS 🗑NJ Devils, PATHETIC💯
Getting tired of hearing the coach say " lack of respect for the game ". Who's responsible to get your team ready to play? Easily the worst loss of the season. If this wasn't a fireable loss, then it's going to be a frustrating waste of a season.
Tooooo many passes. No rebounds. Again, NOT ready to play. Luke was a passing machine. Timid. Nemec played really great. No one paid the price tonight & Schmid was brutal.
Usually a bad idea to start the same goalie in a back to back. Not sure why Schmid was not pulled when it was obvious it was not his night. Was out so did not watch the game just the recap. Fitz should do something to shake things up before it is too late.
Embarrassing loss. Injuries are one thing. They're getting caught again and again on defense. Out of position, missed assignments, mistakes, whatever you want to call it. It's too many wide open chances and odd–man rushes for the opposition. And the goalies are just not getting it done.
