Getting another Right winger is all the Rangers really need. The cap is projected to increase by 4.2 million dollars for next season. Now that is just the current projected increase, so it'll be around 4 million at least.
After 2 months, I think the Wheeler experiment should be over. I like him and although I think we can win with him, I believe that we could upgrade that position relatively easily. I was into the idea of trading Goodrow as well, but I feel like he fits well into coach Pete's system. I don't think Drury should twist himself into a pretzel just to make a deal. If it's cheap and we aren't giving up young assets, then sure. I would go for Wheeler out and Duclair in.

I'm just as apt to think they should be looking for a 3C and just plug in Chytil on the right side of Mika and Kreider — of course first I would want to see that tried out in the regular season. I like Chytil at Center (despite the FOs), but I also think he could do a great job on the RW if necessary. I just think it's time he got the Top 6 minutes and he would certainly be better than any of the players mentioned.
I liked Duclair as a Ranger fast he would hit knew where to position himself and yes returning to the Rangers with his speed will be a bi asset and maybe his first CUP. Peace.
I’d look into bringing back Tarasenko first and Patrick Kane would be interested again if the Red Wings are out of the playoff picture.

Rangers have no cap space…. you say the cap going up. Teams are not going to want to waste space on retaining salary.
Yea the rangers have re sign guys after the season. And with the guys on IR we have no accrued cap space. So I don’t think the rangers can get anyone
It's a long shot, but I'd like to see the Rangers trade for Brock Nelson. He's been the Islanders leading goal scorer for the last 5 years. He drives towards the front of the net, and scores. That was playing in defensive systems. I think he'd score even more under Laviolette. He shows up each year in the playoffs. He can play center or wing. I'd start him as the top right wing, and have Peca work with him on faceoffs. Then once he's up to speed, he can take over 1C/2C if there's injuries. I don't know if Lou would let him go, or if he would want too much in return.
