@Flames de Calgary

This kind of just seals the deal that Murray is directly involved in hockey decisions.. the last 15-20 years make a lot more sense now.

I’ve got an axe to grind > let’s make the team better

Maybe true, but Bruce Garrioch is often wrong

Well that’s terrible. The owner should not be saying no to trades because he’s salty. God we’re always going to be fucked while he’s in control of this team.

  5. I don’t love this on theory. But in this particular scenario it’s fine, as I don’t see the Maple Leafs as an ideal trade partner. Their lack of cap space basically guarantees Calgary needs to retain 50% in any trade. Because of that, they should have to pay more than market value.

Murray CNRL Edwards, is always involved in everything.

Any news to the contrary is false. He does the same thing at CNRL.

  7. Good! Treliving fucked this team over for the next decade. Why would we possibly help him, in any way at all?

  8. Beta1224

Very rare Edwards W? If Toronto wants him bad enough they’ll put together a better offer, but knowing Treliving he’ll come to the table with the 2nd best offer

Capn Murray controlling the team from his yacht in some random fuck ocean not paying any taxes. What a guy

When was the last time this bum was in the dome for a game?

  10. So are all his GMs just puppets that take the heat while this guy has all final decision making? How much power does Conroy even have. He must do the negotiating but doesnt sound like he has any trigger pulling decisions

  11. If it’s a petty thing with Treliving leaving then yeah I get it, and Murray Edwards probably still is a big baby, but I also wouldn’t want to retain half on Tanev with around 75% of the season remaining. That’s around $1.7M in dead money

  12. eugenejfish

W in this case but that fuckin goof Murray « Greedy Belly » Edwards should not be involved in hockey decisions.

  13. redditslim

I don’t like Murray Edwards, but fuck the Leafs.

  14. weschester

Fuck I hate Murray Edwards. We’re basically donating a billion dollars to him for a new arena and he still wants to be a pretty fucker. Let the hockey people run the hockey team just like you let the accountants hide your money from the government.

According to who? A newspaper reporting about two rival teams?

I don’t trust this source at all, have seen nothing of the sort from any insider

Makes sense why we always get fucked over when Toronto reviews goals for us if this is true.

Cause I still cant get over the guy throwing the puck into our goalies crease the other night. Blew me away they allowed the goal.

  17. Makes sense to me because any deal that involves salary retention means he is eating his own money.
