Bruce Garrioch de Postmedia se joint à Rod Smith pour discuter de ce que le retour de Martin à Ottawa signifie pour le personnel d’entraîneurs des Sénateurs.
I'm NOT entirely convinced that Jacques Martin would actually step behind the bench if D.J. Smith gets the axe. Garrioch hints that Martin is there to discuss "in-game adjustments and knows the x and o's of the game" so are we to assume Martin is going to travel wit hthe team too? Maybe I missed something but I never heard Smith or Garrioch mention that. The other thing here is that Martin is now 71 years old and does he really want to travel and be so engaged with the team? I do hope that he and DJ can work together, its been a dismal season to this point both on and off the ice.

Ottawa (and Buffalo) would probably be in a playoff spot if they had Detroit's head coach.
It would be nice to see Martin behind the bench as the defensive coach. I am afraid what he will relay from upstairs won’t get implemented.
