@Canucks de Vancouver

OEL a marqué autant de buts lors de ses 26 premiers matchs en tant que Panther de la Floride qu’il l’a fait tout au long de sa carrière en tant que Canuck…

    When Quinn was hurt OEL popped off. He still has offensive abilities, just defends like a pylon.

  2. We got more depth with Soucy and Cole for this year though which is what we needed. The buyout penalty will suck but it was needed

    Dhonni and Dhali mentioned the plan was to keep OEL and trade Myers/Garland. They couldn’t find any takers for them, so they had to buyout OEL in order to make the free agent signings we did.

    I love/hate how much he helped my fantasy team

    This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Any defender who gets paired with Myers has so many extra defensive responsibilities to make up for that their offensive game suffers. The guys broke up the most two on ones during his tenure with Vancouver. Myers literally makes the players around him worse to make up for his lack of ability.

    Honestly fuck OEL. The guy played like shit in his last couple years in Arizona, made several coaches look bad, refused to play defence, while letting his offensive numbers dwindle as soon as he got paid, demands a trade out of Arizona after being named their Captain (like holy shit if they didnt say enough about his leadership skills), specifically demands a trade to only 2 teams in Vancouver and Boston, and then when he finally comes to Vancouver he plays like absolute crap, for multiple seasons, somehow works his way into a leadership role because the NHL is a giant old boys club, and then has the audacity to say he was shocked and disapointed that we bought him out, a buy out that had the biggest pay out in the history of buy outs, and then just fucks off to Florida where now he suddenly can play hockey again?

  7. i will die on the hill that buying out OEL was a mistake and Myers should have been the one bought out instead

    I’ll never know how and why a team that finished 24th in the NHL wanted a declining overpaid defenceman.

    Yeah Benning had to save his job but fuck what a god damn simpleton.

    OEL was fine. $7.8m OEL was not fine. End of story

    Came here to make this exact post 😂
