  1. I don't think matthews and marner duo is permanent. Nylander and Marner will be the duo in the future and Matthews will be given other wingers to carry. Matthews is averaging a goal per game with a bust wrist, he doesn't need Marner. What we do need is another skill line running plays…..Marner and Nylander duo needs to become a thing.

  2. Mitch Marner is a player that has sparked my renewed interest in hockey. My interest in the game diminished on a yearly basis because watching it was mind-numbingly boring. With few exceptions, it seemed like every ounce of creativity was sapped from the style of play; and as someone who grew up playing and watching, it felt a bit sad. I don't know why, but now you see players stick out. By that I mean they capture your imagination while in possession of the puck. Mitch Marner is one of them. This is going to sound hyperbolic, but here me out: Given the amount of changes in the game over the years — size, strength, strategy, etc. — it is hard to imagine a return to the days of, say, Lafleur streaking down the right wing and issuing a "cannonating" (RIP, DG) blast that beats the goalie on blocker side. But Marner is a perfect example of the type of player who can handle the puck while seemingly floating around the ice before making a precision pass. In short, his play reminds me of the Oiler's dynasty in general and one player in particular. Guess who that is. It seems to me that the clampdown on certain types of body-checking has opened up the ice. Players now feel free to roam around the offensive zone without fear of being levelled. That's just my take.

  3. Yo make sure that your next one includes just as many subtle cameos by your organization's covid response. Didn't quite get the message on this one. Not sure if your facility is safe

  4. I jumped on him for his contract and how he handled the negotiations, but he’s worth every Penny, he’s one of the 10-15 best players in the league.

  5. What a team, and Mitchy and Matty are the core, love watching them with the puck on a string out there, very creative plays, and Mitch is scoring more and more.

  6. I have a question for Mitch but I don't think they will respond but oh well
Mitch do you ever feel anxious or stressed or overwhelmed about being at the games interacting with the fans and just playing in the nhl in general ( no hate just wondering )

  7. I hope that Mitch plays as Leaf for a long, long time. He is having a great season and he’s a very valuable member of the team. Go Leafs Go!! 💙

  8. Marner is a elite talent which separates him from the rest lol. Marner literally disappeared during the playoffs lol

  9. Couldn’t even imagine being Mitch marner, imagine the pressure, people relying on you, counting everytime you fail and smash it into your face, it must be very stressful, can only wish him well with understanding.
