1. I think this was maybe the most entertaining series in the play in round!
I hope Minny or NYR get the 1st overall pick!!

  2. i agree you have to keep tanev. i really enjoyed that canucks game last night, the fast OT ender was a good idea lol, but im really happy to see them moving on and as long as they don't get in my hawks way- i hope the canucks can win the cup. its a good time to be a canucks fan, they're going to be a great team for the next 7-8 years, they're never boring, their were times during the season where i was more excited to watch them than i was to watch the hawks, it wouldnt shock me to see petterson take over the next round, him and hughes are so fun to watch.

  3. You sound a lot like a long time Blues fan pre-2019. After decades of not winning the big prize you learn to take pleasure in success however it comes without getting overly optimistic because you’ve had your hopes crushed so many, many times.

  4. I cheered as if the Canucks won the Stanley Cup… Honestly it was such a good feeling.

  5. Virtanen looks out of shape. He looks like a typical beer crushing 23 yr old. The only guy on the team who seems to be worse for the extended break. I don't want to dump on the guy, but the lack of commitment seems evident at this point.

  6. as a wild fan, I'm disappointed but not surprised. I'm honestly just happy we weren't swept and that we showed some kind of ability. Just hope that that wasn't Koivu's last game

  7. I'll be honest I cheered like it was 1994.. It was good to see a no quit attitude and the fact they were not losing that game no matter what. This feel so good to say " We are back in the Playoffs". Feels like an eon since I've been able to say that..

  8. I've been on the Sutter bandwagon since he put on a Canucks uniform. Good penalty killer, he does have some offensive skill, seems injury prone but pretty solid overall.

  9. Wild fan here, and I started watching your videos this playoff series. I've gone on to watch most of your videos. You're a fair hockey fan giving relatively unbiased dialoge about the series' and all teams, even those your favorite teams are playing against. I'd much rather watch this than watch a bunch of bickering former sports stars on TV. Keep up the great work, Hockey Guy!

  10. Shannon I'm really happy for you. As a Caps fan, I have endured so many failures in the playoffs even before they won the Cup. If you felt something would go wrong, then your team would find a way to do it. This time the Canucks persevered and they get the right to move on to the next round.

I will say, that Markstrom needs to stop giving up so many leaky goals from bad angles. I feel the soft goals he gave up in the series, kept the Wild more into it than they should have.

  11. We have all waited a long time for this Shannon, there have been a lot of painful and facepalm worthy moments the past several years. Its great to see the core taste the intensity of playoff hockey and succeed against a veteran and defensively stingy squad like the Wild. We have a long way to go but this is only a taste of what is to come.
PS: love the vintage V, Cameron is right, rock it like a champ

  12. Shannon, you're not the only one on the Brandon Sutter bandwagon. I was a big fan of his when he played for the Pens, and I hated to see him go. And,(as these things often go) he's exactly the kind of player we could have used this last week.

  13. >they still haven't won a playoff series (*qualifying-round during a special pandemic year tournament)…only NOW have they officially entered the playoffs (& lost their 1st-round draft pick 2020

  14. Wild have a top 9 guaranteed pick, and don't have to get blown out by whoever the Canucks play next. This entire series, after Chicago, Montreal, and Arizona won, as a win-win for Minnesota. They either qualify, or have a seriously good pick coming into the draft.

  15. Yep its official lets sign Tanev and lets sign him to a 5 year/ 5 mill a year and then give Markstom 6 year/5 mill LOL. All over because Tanev scored a goal to head to the playoffs. Tanev hadn't missed a game because it's a contract year and he wants to get paid. Look at the big picture folks, same for Markstrom.

  16. I'm with you on Sutter! I still remember when this guy was lighting it up in Pittsburgh. He's a perfect fit to be a centre on the third line. Injuries aside, I'm not sure why anyone would give him any flack.

  17. Your not negative. Your just honest with your team and you know what it takes to win a cup. Don’t worry Vancouver isn’t the only team that needs to tighten things up.

  18. Gotta say, Nucks need to keep Tanev and with that, have to let Stecher go. Tanev allows Hughes to reign free. Juulevi will be a top 6 next year and save money on the cap. Hope Toffoli can come back for the next series and perhaps Ferland may retire due to head concussion symptoms.

  19. Big win for the team and the fans , no first round pick then but we know that would never happen anyway must be penguin bound.
