  1. sniffing around to see if the canucks wanted the cap space kuz would give them. not willing to offer anything of any value.

  2. Tocchet is like most coaches. He has his favourites. They play a certain style. Pettersson, a 100 point player, was dropped to the 2nd line because Miller plays a style closer to how Tocchet played. Every coach has blind spots – except maybe Scotty Bowman. He could coach any type of player. Tocchet likes gritty guys who dig for pucks in corners and he’ll play a finesse player if they’re on a hot streak, but as we’ve seen with Elias, once you go a bit cold offensively, if you’re not a gritty player, you’re getting demoted. That’s why he loves Lafferty. There’s no question, Kuzmenko is a more talented player by a wide margin to Lafferty, but the way Tocchet wants everyone, even smaller finesse guys to play, he’s basically forcing Rutherford and Allvin to trade him – while destroying his trade value at the same time. Sure, maybe if they could get a top 4 defensive defenseman – but whether that’s a good idea or not, he won’t get that kind of return if Tocchet keeps destroying his value. You need all kinds of players to win and if you can only coach 3rd line grinders, that’s not a long term solution. It’s great to have a “system,” but if that system doesn’t allow for skill and all you’re getting are greasy goals, you’re the Coyotes and you’ll never win anything.

  3. It's called tough love. Sometimes a coach needs to push. And that's what's happening. How about sit back and relax, let's see what the player does.

  4. I can see the impact Hendrick and Daniel has made in this team by some of the set plays like using the board to pounds puck off

  5. Kuzy, and Myers in exchange for a decent top 4 defenseman and a 2nd round pick and I might consider a trade. We shouldn't be so quick to trade away our best players, I thought we loved Kuzy. I agree with their approach here and staying patient with him. Tocchet has to be fairer and understanding. He and media have been inappropriate.

  6. They need to take a look at videos of Kuz last season and set him up for those same chances

  7. another waste of my time on YouTube post to listen to ….shut off in 3seconds..once saw you playing some NHL game….thought this was actual humans talking etc.

  8. This schedule sucks. How do you get the L.A. Kings with four games in hand over the Las Vegas Knights.

  9. Those Knights home game helmets are really annoying. I watched the game yesterday Knights vs Sharks. Gold for 2 periods. Gold and Black for third. Uniforms should be uniform for entire game.

  10. Fans need to remember Kuzy's 39 goals last year came from a shooting percentage of 27.3%. That was the highest in the league. This year, he is shooting at 11% and is on pace to finish the season with 12 goals. If you look at the greatest goal scorers in the league, McDavid averages between shooting percentage of 14-18% through 7 seasons. So what Kuzy did the year prior is not sustainable and he is definitely not a 39 goal scoer. I don't think he's a 12 goal scorer either, so let's split the difference. He's a 20 goal scorer at best. Unfortunately, he doesn't drive offense and if he doesn't forecheck, then he's a bit of a burden. I hope this 4th line duty wakes him up, because at $5.5M, we need him to perform.

  11. I think many people have to understand that the original Pety line forward combination why does Illya Mikheyev put there. He is supposed the one to go fastest firston forechecks, and then retreive the puck from the side board to either Pety or Kuzy for finishing. So Kuzy is not supposed to be the forechecker at all. If anyone checks each line of Tocchet, there must be one player the fastest as the first forechecker. So, the problem of Kuzy I think is not about forechecking, but not standing still and have no confidence on the puck control. If he could have score a couple goals to have his confidence back, then no more problem.

  12. Move Vlad to 3B and sign Bellinger get him to play 1B vs. LHP.

So your defense can look like:

    C: Kirk/Jansen/Varsho???
    1B: Vlad/Belli
    2B: Schneider
    3B: Vlad/Barger
    SS: Bo
    LF: Springer
    CF: Varsho
    RF: Belli/???
