  1. Nice to see Carter knock in a pair of goals (including a burst of speed for a shorty), especially showing grit in front of the net on the PP!

  2. DK I’m glad you opened up with 77. I was thinking about you when Carter had those two goals 😂

Great game … let’s hope we can build from this. Let’s go! 🐧

  3. Good win. Was shaky there for a while after they essentially owned the Coyotes early on but were down 2-1 anyway. Thought it was going to be another one of those games where they out shoot the opposition 2-1 but lose anyway. Carter's SHG really righted the ship. Officials were clearly off their bipolar meds as they called two completely different games in the 1st versus the 3rd. Was happy to see Capitals fan Cooley get properly trucked by Smith. Keep your head up Logan! Or don't, I don't care.

  4. Crazy that for being one of the best teams at even strength our win came in the form of 0 even strength goals. Sloppy play in the second and tired looking play in the third but it was a win and an end to our PP streak so I’ll take it!

  5. One decent game in a year in a half and Sully waxes poetically about his crusty vet for hours. Never change sully😅😅😅😅

  6. Officially Carter got the Game Winning Goal 🥅 and how many times has he done that now?? I'm pretty sure he's close to breaking someone else record for the most game winning goals. But I really like 13 energy and flying around making PLAYS finding the opportunity to make something Good happen….

  7. If we can get any kind of net-front presence out of Carter, he would actually have a fair role. We have been looking for a Hornqvist fill-in, if Carter can do it for 4 mins that is better than anything else he has done in the last 1.5 seasons, excepting watching from the scratch list.

  8. I always consider a win to be not quite as big of an accomplishment when the other team played the night before and you didn’t.

Let’s see them keep it up. They are in the opposite situation tonight.

  9. Good segment DK, I think it's several reasons why Carter is playing better:

    – Not playing center, which gives him a little less of a defensive responsibility
    – playing a limited role on the fourth line, so he's more fresh when he comes on the ice
    – honestly he's been benched and scratched already, so he probably has the mindset what's the worst that can happen, he get's benched or scratched again
    – the last one, it's more than likely his final season in the NHL, so he's wants to go out with a bang

  10. I am always amazed when I see a puck redirected off a slap shot. The level of hand-eye coordination, the reflexes, the skill on both ends; incredible. The mix of abilities that pro hockey players have just blows me away.

  11. Well got to give Jeff Carter credit on this one DK. What a surprise. Glad the team got a win and maybe a solution. Great show DK thank you.

  12. DK I;m a big fan, but I feel pretty sure you were just wrong about Carter. You said that his hands are shot and he is slow. We saw last nite <and all along> that neither one of those is true. I dont think we are qualified to surmise what Carter is thinking, but I do know that his hands are still great and that he is a very efficient skater and a big guy, so guys like that can look slow even when they are younger. If anything. my guess is that you just dont want him out there for extended shifts due to his age/conditioning. Guy still has great skill. Don't know that he is worth the price tag, but he certainly has not been a bust with all that he brings.
