Do we really need an older player on this roster? And what effect will he have?
I don't like the match ups in the next 2 games, bos and at Montreal….I'd take 2 points if we can get them
why? Wouldn't zack want one last shot at a cup? Snowball chance in he-ll that happens with louzers bunch. avg. forward age-31. Louzer must be trying to dump 26 to make room for zack. Only way to do it. Try wings zack-young they may be primed to do things at tdl. Or legit shot may be with stars where zack can re-unite with suter and laff at how much $$$ they are stealing from mild to the tune of $14 mill. the next two seasons.
He is not going to cost you much and he adds needed depth to the roster. Especially on your 4th line. Plus he would help with the penalty kill and the pp. Especially with the injury history of some of our players
Parise when he 1st came in the league I would say I wish he was a islander and he did way too late lol, I think the team should be left exactly the way it is, who ever is out at this time should stay out until a injury, the islanders can beat any team we have the goaltending !!! His speed stamina IQ corner work n net front presence and simple game plan might make him the perfect 3rd guy on 1st line. Anders to 3rd with Pag n Holstrom. I like Fasching over Martin most games and we shall see. 3rd line sounds great too. I know he isn't 1st line talent but he is 1st line stamina n the way he makes his line better.

We don’t need a 39 year old on this team. Zach’s getting over 6 million a year to stay home. Know need to mess with the roster now. Unless Martin and clutter are sent packing which I believe it’s time.. Then I’d still rather see wahlstrom the 23 year old finally get a real shot.
Come back as an asst.coach...teach Wahlstrom how to skate and Gauthier how to score…

If Zach does come back, I called it at the start of the season. I felt he still wanted to play but didn't want to spend so much time away from his family. With what both were saying, I figured they had a plan B that could work for Zach and his family.
If Zach does come back, it should be to mentor Wahlstrom. Let those 2 rotate in and out of the lineup while they work together in practice. We can't give up on Wally. His shot is too good.
Reilly, Bortuzzo were always destined for the waiver wire to make roster space as D men get healthy. One or both will probably get claimed. Adding Zach puts Gauthier in the same position.
Good morning team. Thanks again Gil, for another wonderful episode. I've been checking out everyone's comments about Parise, and here are my thoughts about his return. Having depth with another player that knows the system is something they should consider. Having said that, I have a little bit of a problem having him back in the lineup. There is the age thing, and where do we put him? Perhaps the PK?? We're having a hard time finding a spot for Wahlstrom, whom I consider a better player right now. I'm torn here but I'm going to lead toward not bringing him back. The chemistry is working for now, and I wouldn't want to screw around with it. Said to say it's Friday and we have to wait until Monday to talk about the win over the Bruins and Canadiens 😆

Would love to see Zach come back! He had an incredible motor and work ethic last year. Great example for the younger guys. I beieve he coudl spark some additional offense as well.
Gm Gil. I would love to see Zach come back and would add to a team just getting better. Tonight is a real test against a B's team that made them look like a minor league club not that long ago.
My theory is, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The offense has been playing great, the D could use some tweaking. Unless Parisi is gonna come on and score 20 goals, he can stay with his family. I like the guy but his commitment wasn’t there in the beginning of the season and now the team has good chemistry, putting him in the lineup is gonna screw that up. There’s still gonna be games where you’re gonna wanna dress #17 over Fashing, As for the defense, Bortuzzo is exactly what this roster needs, a hard hitting stay at home Dman.
Where does Wahlstrom fit in, if anywhere? He seemed to be playing better and better.
I am not optimistic about this weekend. I could see the Islanders losing a close game to Bruins. Then tired and a little dejected they lose another close one to Montreal. Hopefully I am wrong.
