As a Sens fan I feel his pain.
The Senators are done for the year. …so are the CBJs, but that's not all that surprising. In order to have a chance at a wildcard, Ottawa would have to go .640 in their remaining 57 games…57.9% of which are on the road. It always looks easier than it is…because it's "only" 12 points and there are still games in hand. The problem is, the Sens have now put themselves into a position where they have to climb over 8 teams to get at a wildcard spot and those teams will rotate in and out of the wildcard race. Some will go on heaters and some will sink…but a few will be equal or better than Ottawa while currently above the Sens in the standings…and will thus get those two WC spots.
All they Need is several games against the wing as it seems it was part of the trade deal that we keep loosing them
If they have the cap they could maybe get Binnington closer to February

Also someone with a decent cap hit needs to start at center ice skate fast as they can SMASH STRAIGHT INTO THE END BOARDS! They need the cap space! Simple truth they are a WAY BETTER TEAM than the RECORD! If they plan on making the payoffs coaching change bump
