Nashville progresse au classement au cours de ses 16 derniers matchs

Il est remarquable de voir à quel point les parcours des Ducks et des Preds ont été différents depuis qu’Anaheim a battu Nashville 3-2 le 14 novembre. 1. They've lost alot of talent since 2017. Flip, Josi and Saros are the only core left. Sure they brought McDongah (spelling?) back, but he's a depth guy now.

I really think Trots needs to push them in a youth direction and rebuild.

  2. If Glass and Novak can get back to where they were last year with scoring, Nashville should be in the playoffs and a tough out. For this to happen, all players need to avoid long term injuries. In my opinion the one thing Nashville cannot do is overplay Soros. Lankinen is serviceable and needs be to play a little better. If he does, he needs to play approximately 25 total games to give Soros needed rest.

  3. Very interested to see what the Preds end up doing at the deadline, if they're in a playoff spot at that point. On the one hand, they have a ton of cap space, but on the other, a good number of tradable and/or redundant assets. I just hope they don't start trading away picks.

  4. As a fan I’d like to think the Preds are a contender. Obviously it really depends on if they can keep this up. Ending and starting the year they have a difficult schedule so that will really test what they are capable of. I’m just thankful they’ve come this far and aren’t tanking.

  5. This team is well coached and it is somehow bitter for me as NJ supporter just thinking what could've Brunette achieved with Devils roster.

  6. I believe that the slow start was adapting to an entirely new offensive system. Unlike some of our previous coaches though, the lines have remained remarkably consistent when there aren't holes to fill due to injury. Now that the team seems to have Bruno's system down, and have seen that it can be successful, they've all bought in fully, and I think that's why they're playing so much better lately. Yes they still have 'flat' stretches when they're vulnerable, but all teams go through that, and this has been a brutal stretch of games every other day and back to backs every weekend. If they can stay healthy, I think they can be dangerous in the postseason.

  7. Nothing related to the video.

I’m tired of this whole digital boards. It makes the whole image grainy. The moment it cuts away from the main TV cam it’s HD again.

Does anyone else notice how grainy it is during the gameplay?

  8. I’d love to see Saros have a playoff run. You knew their last playoff series vs Colorado wouldn’t go well when he was injured for that one.

  9. I think the predators looked like a top 5 team in the league after the first five games, but luck (and referees) had something else to say about it. I think after that with a few injuries they let the misfortune get in their heads for awhile. That bad stretch after that was some of the worst hockey I've ever seen from this franchise. The last stretch you've discussed here feels 100% like the team I expected then to be after those first games and I'm excited to see what they can do going forward. Are they cup contenders? Ehh probably not this year, are they in that conversation next year? Definitely could be

  10. As a Preds fan, I’d love for us to have a playoff run and while we’re up now, I’ve watched every game of ours this season and I’m still seeing the issues that had us down earlier in the season. Overall, our defense needs to stop relying on Juuse to bail them out if we want to be a seriously competitive team going forward and hopefully into playoffs. Last night’s game against the Capitals was a good showing for them, more of that with discipline and energy, and I think we’re golden.

  11. The big surprise for me as a Preds fan is that we've been getting relatively disappointing play from a few young guys who looked incredible at the end of last year. Parsinnen, Novak, Glass, and Evangelista showed more last year than this, and have also dealt with injury this year. And yet we're still pulling out unlikely wins in tough back-to-backs and getting goals when we need them. I think if a couple of those kids go off, we're a contender. If not, I'm sticking with my prediction that this team has "Wildcard and 1st-round exit" written all over it, and I'm honestly not upset about that. For a "rebuild" with decent prospects and a bunch of upcoming draft picks already, I'll take this any day!

  12. Exactly why people should not hope their team “tears it down completely and starts a rebuild”. You’re never that far away from being competitive, improve your pro/amateur scouting and you’ll be fine.

  13. They’re figuring out Brunettes system and flourishing. They’ve been super fun to watch. The deal with the preds the past couple of year have been finding ways to get some goal supports for Saros. Now being able to score some goals along with elite goaltending has got the boys buzzing.

  14. It amazes me because this was supposed to be a "rebuilding" year. I had 0 expectations, and I'm scared they're giving me false hope, but I'm enjoying the ride so far. lol Still early in the season, but I'm actually confident they can keep it up.

  15. Well dang, now we're talkin, haha. I think the Preds are playing with house money this year, and that's making it easier to have fun and make things happen. Nobody has any expectations of them, and under Brunette's more uptempo system, they're generating offense that hasn't been there for years. Is their defense in front of Saros perfect? Nope. Do they stay out of the box? Nope. But not having that pressure of "If we give up 2 goals, we probably lose" is making a difference.

Combine that with the nights when Saros is incredible, and you see these 5-1 vs Tampa or 3-1 vs Washington games. The Preds have an elite goalie, and they actually believe they can outgun you now. How far will that take them? I have no idea. But it's been really fun to watch.

  16. Oh man THG made a video about our hot streak. Well it was a great run, time for a 10 game losing streak…
