This was a wild game for sure; basically, the loser of this game would be eliminated from playoff contention; if Montreal had won they would've clinched the last playoff in the conference. If the Leafs won, they would still be contention for a playoff spot but would've had to wait for the result of the Islanders game the next day, the final day of the season, to know whether or not they would make the playoffs. It was some crazy times during those final couple weeks of that season indeed.
A leafs game back then on a Saturday night against a rival with bob cole announcing the game. Doesn’t get any better than that🔥

I like watching these,because I have all the NHL games on ps2, ps3, ps4 and ps5. Only have 2 ps1 games NHL99 and NHL Faceoff 99. I Also have a hacked wii to play nes and snes games. Brett Hull Hockey and Ice Hockey are under-rated games. I Like using a Gamecube Controller for Brett Hull Hickey.

I remember watching this live ages ago. It’s was a WILD game. I’ll never forget it!!
I hated that this was the second of that 9 year playoff drought. I lost a lot of respect for fans of other nhl teams because of this playoff drought, especially fans of other nhl teams that lived in toronto cause of the chirping on Facebook.
I cried myself to sleep that night. Rough night to be a habs fan as a kid
