Skip the next skate and make them all rewatch the games they shut down Boston and New Jersey in November. Hell, show them the first period of the first game of the season. Everyone was so sharp then. Now everyone looks lost.
I like Lalonde and I know we have to idea what goes on behind the scenes but I feel like he isn't hard enough on them. He should pull the old show replays of players making dumb mistakes over and over while just staring them down. Been saying it for awhile now but this team needs to get mad.
This team needs a John Tortorella type of guy. These guys are making so much amount of money to cruise around the ice rink. Unacceptable.

It’s frustrating to watch but even more frustrating when larks and mo say that they are trying and when newsy says that he liked parts of the game. Like if you watched the game, the only good thing was Kane and everyone else looked like they were playing in a Sunday night beer league game
Larks looks frusterated as shit. We better get our game together quick before we get left in the playoff dust. People blaming Kane for this recent streak are wrong as he has been ready to break out. His passes are crisp and on point. The boys are just experiencing a mid-season slump and this will strengthen us and make us better.

This is solely on Yzerman and the good ole boys club. All these aging lazy dman, bottom six forwards he is signing. His drafting has been horrendous. Sorry I love the player, but he has been a disaster. The cupboard should be stocked, yet it is empty.
I never played hockey, unfortunately, i played football at the college level. So i don't know much about the in's and out's of hockey. But anyone involved in sports can see there's no hustle, no fight, no energy, no physical play (Rasmussen is a 6'6 220 lbs monster, how is he not laying people out?), they're not skating hard, and we shoot and chase the puck with no prevail. So why do we keep doing that? We're getting crazy out shot, we're in the D-zone waaaayyyyy too much to be blaming the defense. Statistically, the more time you spend on defense the more points will be scored on you. Kane and Seiders hit are the only positives in the past 4 games. At least against Dallas and the Canes we played hard and competed. Our passes are awful and laxed. It's still early at least and we've proven we can beat anybody when we play the way we're capable of.
Until they get past the whining and start getting pissed off, nothing will change. They don't need coddling. They need a tongue lashing.

MO and Wallman should have assists on most of the Jet's goals. That there are always one or two completely open Jet's forwards is embarrassing at this level. To completely abandon your own goalkeeper on everyone without the first goal Jet´s makes, can only be seen as the players not wanting to take their own responsibility here. Get your shitting act together boys.
They look exhausted. Too much hockey and not enough practice. When the schedule starts to normalize and they have a chance to recharge and practice D zone defense they’ll play better. Larks is right, no excuse, but you can see these guys don’t have enough gas to play a 60 minute game.
If they make the playoffs this stretch of adversity could help them then. But it’s hard to watch now.
Time to bench kane and see if there is an improvement in the team game.

I'll say again, walman needs to sit, maybe it's an injury maybe not, but he is not playing good d out there, 2 straight goals from guys he lets get in front of the net and bang the puck, why are you chasing guys behind the net and not playing position? If I were a forward id play high and let the defenseman fail on low d zone coverage until they realize the defensemans job is to get the damn puck out of the zone first before moving up ice, a center should not be covering as low as Larkin had to on the first goal, just stupid zone coverage.
Lemme guess, another game of defensive zone coverage misses that lead to easy tap ins?
It was known December was going to be the toughest part of the season. 15 games in December is a tough stretch, and having guys injured/coming back from injuries doesn't help things. March is another month that is going to be a grind, with 14 games. Boys gotta dig deep for these next couple of games before the break, get some rest, and come back swinging to end the year.
This roster is capable of a wild card spot. Starting Husso the last 2 months and Lalonde saying he’s been our best player on nights he was abysmal was it for me. I want Lalonde gone, I’ve seen enough. Soft teams need hard leaders.

They never play with any urgency. Everything looks difficult for them. Passes just out of reach, poor forecheck, turnovers in the neutral zone, no hitting/checking, everybody chasing puck in defensive zone, losing puck battles along boards, no one seems to be in right place when they need to be there. They look so discombobulated. I cant explain it well…like everything is scrambled…they have no flow, everything looks so difficult for them. This is very poor hockey they are playing. Its extremely frustrating watching them. Walman is absolutely playing worst hockey. Whenever they play they dont play like they want to win. They just kinda cruise on auto pilot. I see no hussle to outwork the opponent. Yzerman needs to have a talk with this coach, Im starting to wonder about him. Still dont see much physicality or hitting/checking. They are way to soft. And I mean soft. There boys. We need men. Lalonde is soft also. There just mediocre as fuck. So sick of it the last several seasons. Just average, streaky, mediocre, boring hockey. This team is going nowhere. Even when they score 5 they find a way to lose. There toast
There was little effort last night. No fighting for puck, lazy clearing, no forecheck or pressure in There own zone…..ridiculas to expect to even be competitive like that!!!!!
Lalonde is a loser….no emotion ever from this guy, everything is always just alright with him. Take a look at the standings coach, the team is a mess, plummeted down the standings with 7 losses in the last 8…Lalonde needs a reality check. The guy is a cheerleader, not a head coach.
Try get Edvinsson up and Berggren instead of Czarnik

Kane Larkin debrincat only wings that are safe everyone else needs to go they don’t skate and don’t hate to lose… Stevie needs to get tougher players to support those 3 … I think it’s time to bring the kids up.. soderblum Bergeron… Fischer czarnik waste of a roster space… Seider is the only defender worth anything hopefully we can find a way to trade the entire defense .. time to bring up edvisson and newpower if we are gonna lose mine as well play the kids because this team right now doesn’t hate to lose and is a pathetic example of Detroit red wings hockey! Oh and we need nhl caliber goaltenders
Lalonde needs to start cutting minutes of guys who aren't playing hard enough. Right now it's at least half the team. Where is the accountability? Bring up Bergy and Edvinnson. This team needs a massive shakeup in who is playing and minutes. Lalonde is way too status quo right now and not changing things.

I rewatched our 08 stanley cup game the other night and wow…night and day. No chemistry no urgency, zero defense, zero back bone these days.
I feel bad for Kane, we’re paying as a bottom six forward and he’s playing accordingly. The whole team is just getting beat every damn game! I hope we can turn it around but I’m thinking we’re going to be selling again come trade deadline time.😢
Deadline time we’re going to see sprong traded for a 2nd, DP for a 3rd or 4th, ghost for either (2) 2nds or maybe a 2nd and a 3rd, and possibly Johnny burgers for a 1st and a prospect. I’m calling it now!
