  1. I don’t want Timmins leaving tho, he’s gonna be fire elsewhere. Happens all the time. So far Sandin & Holl moving was good moves but in the past, trading guys always backfired for us

  2. I readed a trade rumor that leafs send T.J brode and Conner Timmins and 1st round pick in 2025 and 3rd round pick in 2024 and 2 5th round pick in 2024 and 7th round pick in 2024 to habs for RD David Savard at 50%cap hit and RD Jonathan Kovacevic and C/LW Sean Monahan at 25% cap hit and D Arber Xhekaj and D Arber Xhekaj can go down to marlies without go through waivers and the leafs send Ty Volt and Special 3rd round pick in 2025 that could turn to the leafs 2nd round pick in 2026 to sharks for Mario Ferraro at 50% cap hit if true or not we will see?

  3. Ferraro would be a an excellent pick up. He hits and blocks a lot of shots, exactly the type of Dman that Toronto lacks. I hope they also go for Tanev.

  4. Treliving is about to become a target for sins that his predecessor is guilty of!
Dubas gets so much credit and held up as a great GM, which is complete bullshit on a hot crossed bun!!!

Treliving has been doing his utmost best to improve the team's defense and so far he's lost! Leaf fans can love a player then turn on a dome and mercilessly attack the same player!!

Remember Larry Murphy? Here was one of the all time great defensemen who a specific group of fans who have no clue about the game, thinking every player should score 50 goals a season!! Having said that, the vast majority of Leaf fans absolutely love every aspect of the game and are unfairly lumped in with the gluebag minority who boo'd Murphy right off the team!!

These people are the reason so many players don't want anything to do with Toronto!
    anyway…

Dubas was an incompetent GM who had no clue how to negotiate, no clue how the game was played!!

Agents will come in with a starting number they know is unrealistic. They do this knowing that number will be the starting figure when negotiations begin and their hope is getting their player as much money as they possibly can.

So, if you start at the actual number the player wants, or thinks he's worth, that will become the starting number and it will get whittled down from there. This is why pro agents open with goofy numbers!

Dubas had no inclining related to negotiate and he simply did what any average Joe lunch-bag could have done – he caved and gave the core four the bulk of the team budget!!

This was heavily criticized by people who understand the game. Dubas relied on average to above average goaltending and picking up available players who specialized or excelled at a specific aspect of the game such as defensive specialists – face off specialists etc. and signing them to lowball single year contracts, hoping the team could outscore the "enemy" negating a need to acquire top pair type defensemen. He believed the top for would be able to win games by their offensive abilities, and as long as these role players put in slightly above average efforts not worrying about offense so much, that would keep goals against down to where we'd win games 5 to 3 or 6 to 4 etc.

His system failed to advance past the first round then the best he managed was second round!!

Dubas relied on his ability to find diamonds in the rough, players who had specialty skills who had underachieved for any number of reasons who he believed could be rejuvenated and find their game on a highly skilled offensive team like the Leafs!

The problem here is the vast majority of those "rental" players played their way off the team and onto other teams with multi year deals they were working so hard to achieve.

The list of Leaf players under Dubas' system leaving because there was no cap room in lengthy!

You can only keep going back to the cupboard so many times before the pie is gone!
I believe Dubas sabotaged his Leaf extension intentionally knowing had he taken the extension, which Shanahan fought for, he knew his huge mistakes would become exposed knowing the cupboard was bare and he left the team with zero, actually, negative zero when he split!

It's obvious Pittsburg engaged in tampering! Look how fast Dubas got GM and president, which, coincidentally is what he wanted with the Leafs and knew he would never egt because his "dear" friend Shanahan was the president, and yet Dubas got his agent to call and ask for both positions!!

He was willing to screw his "dear" friend over in attempting to take his job!!
That makes Dubas, and incompetent rocky mountain Weasel Scrotum highly prized by Natives in the 17 and 1800s for tobacco pouches!!

The problem will carry into next season as the 4 million from Klingberg will be gobbled up by Nylander, so we're screwed this year and next, unless Treliving does the ONLY thing available to him and trades either Nylander or Marner!

This is inevitable folks! It has to be done unless we want to wait another five plus years for the team to be rebuilt!!

So, Dubas "Great GM"? Pffff! Ya, right!
    Jack ~'()'~

  5. I predict the Leafs get nothing. Do they really want to trade another first and a third and a prospect and we all know it's Mitten!? I do t think they should.

  6. Ferraro is good at fishing pucks from the back of his net 😂. There is no way he is worth Liligren and a 1st, seriously bad trade

  7. Don't do it !
Sometimes dmen on a bad team look better then they are…
Guys like Tanev,Bortuzzo,Anderson,Seeler,Walker,Sanheim, lyubushkin, maybe a jets dman. But trading for Ferraro is like Stanley on jets but gets playing time cause sharks are bad.

  8. Lilgegren for Ferraro wow, lol. Timmins is sloppy but effective. Trading those guys for a 4th on his team in scoring and -16guy. wth?

  9. Hey man, I'd feel sorry for you on your team's performance tonight, if it weren't against my Jackets.
I thought for sure we'd lose in OT, especially after Elvis gave up 5 in the 3rd. 🤬🤬😡🤬😭
But, thank God for Kent Johnson.

  10. Leafs won`t get anyone, teams know how bad their defense is and will ask the moon. NHL sucks, there was a time teams did trades and kept the league exciting, now it`s hard to move money, players don`t want to be traded, etc. don`t expect any major upgrades, Leafs are stuck with the garbage defense they have.
