Je pense qu’il a été très décevant et les graphiques le confirment. Je me demande s’il est une solution à long terme pour la première place de LD parce que je ne pense pas qu’il soit assez bon, qu’en pensez-vous ?
He’s doing exactly what we need him to do. He stops scoring chances. He was never supposed to be an offensive defenseman.

He is a warrior and when we are without him, we are a worse team.

He’s been doing his job and he’s an absolute warrior who allows Fox to be who he is. Find a new slant.

Intangibles outweigh the charts in this case.

In a lot of ways, Lindgren is the heart of this team

I wish I could downvote you more than once!
He doesn’t show on the score sheet much but he is absolutely integral to this team.

Fox has also not looked the best this year. I’m going to hope that the two of them combined get it back to what they were.
The fans who automatically decide that hating posts that shit on Rangers players who aren’t playing great is a problem. Lindgren can still be a heart and soul player while playing poor hockey right now. His history says he’ll get out of it, and I’m sure all of us believe in him as a player.

Lindgren and Panarin are my two favorite players and I’ll stand by that

This is the same as people shitting on Goodrow based on stats without context. Lindgren is doing his job. His job isn’t flashy or to create offense, his job is to hold down the fort. Our defense is the best in almost a decade because of guys like Lindgren and Goodrow taking the tough matchups, eating difficult minutes, and grinning maniacally as they do it.
Also I don’t care about expected stats almost halfway into the season after 465 even strength minutes. There’s enough sample size for actual stats at that point. And the fact that whoever made this graphic also included a graph with the ONE MINUTE AND TWENTY SECONDS of total PP time Lindgren has on the year as if that’s relevant is proof that they have no idea what they are doing. **It’s fingerpaints to them.** Pretty colors and rectangles. Nothing more.
Lindgren’s value is apparent whenever he is missing from the lineup and our team defense falls apart. His contract is a bargain. Anyone who actually watches the games knows that.

He had a horrific game against Edmonton but this season he’s nothing far from what we need him to be. I just hate when he pinches on pucks that leave us with an odd man rush to defend

This is probably Lindy’s worst season thus far, analytically. The downvotes you’re getting (and the ones I know I’ll get) remind me of the delusional boner this sub had for Dan Girardi because of grit/heart during the final few seasons before he was bought out while being one of the most detrimental and worst analytically measured players in the NHL. Before anyone thinks I’ve gone mental, I don’t think that Lindgren is anywhere near Girardi-level bad as he’s at least fairly solid defensively. But he’s really a 3rd pairing defender getting top pair minutes. If NYR do re-sign him for any more than a $2.5 AAV it’ll be a massive overpayment at this point.
