The same thing happened two years ago at the Heritage Classic outdoor game, when Mariner scored and he was like 'Aren't I the greatest!', but then the Leafs went on to lose! Now that Quinn is back, the team is healthy, and now we can start to concentrate on making the playoffs. GO SABRES!
Last game, they were standing around watching! This game, they actually hit, moved up ice together, played some team Dee etc etc

I'll say it again and I'll get kicked in nads again for saying it BUT I've been calling for Jokiharju to be benched for a long long time. I don't give a rats rear end what analytics say about his game. The one game I recall when UPL got molested and Henri just stood there with his dog face look was the epitome of why I can't stand him and I don't think it's a coincidence our defense looked a whole lot better.
What really made me angry is we let Max Domi score, his Dad didn’t even clap or smile when he scored because he knows he’s a bum, so is Bertuzzi

I thought, before the season started, that Bertuzzi was a good addition for Toronto. But he looks lost in a Leafs jersey.

I want consistency. I don't care if they win by 20; I want them to play smarter each night and win consistently.. if they can't learn and be better with positioning in their own zone, and passing, to each game then it's just back tot he rollercoaster.

That was a solid waxing, however as you mentioned Sabres didn't really seem to me playing that great if the game either despite of the score, their goalies didn't show up and I really think we caught them off guard.Now let's see if it's going to translate into the next outing.
I forgot to mention I watched the game with my buddy who is a huge Leafs fan in his house and watching him sinking into the couch deeper and deeper was priceless, he even brought me a tissues to use after the game,…well he really needed some consoling after, I will tell you that.
It was a much needed release especially after the Columbus fiasco. Let's see if the Sabres can finally build off this game & get 10 points out of the next possible 12 points (6 games).
It was nice to see a win, but I have to be real here. The first 2 Toronto powerplays, it could have been a totally different game. We still allowed bad defensive plays that centred the puck to the slot with most of our guys staring at the puck and not being positioned.
The team did look like last years squad which is nice.
If it wasn't for Comrie being such a bad backup I would even say put Levi in Rochester for another week or 2 as he has let in some very bad/savable goals (including the Matthews bad angle goal). Seeing the kid line back together again was super exciting. Was Robinson a scratch, because I never noticed him all game.

Matthews isnt the only player who celebrates a goal like that, Eichel , does, Mcdavid does its disrespectful! They need to listen to Brett NO GOAL Hull. He never over celebrated a goal , he rarely raised his arms . He said youve already pissed off your opponent by scoring so dont over do it by celebrating too much!
Remember wayne , this was the first time this season that the Sabres have dressed a complete lineup!, we will see happens from now on. Although I assume the ONLY reason Olofsson was in the lineup over Eric Robinson was too showcase him for a pending trade because right now the Sabres have 24 players on its roster, 1 over the limit, someone( comrie? Olofsson? ) needs to go after the holiday freeze. They are allowed to do this because they have the cap room

Wouldn’t be surprised if the Sabres beat NYR and Boston and then go on a 8 game losing streak. Never seen a weirder team in my life. They show up to play the big market teams and vanish when they play the other 20 bum teams
