« Il est spécial. Son équilibre, son cerveau, ses mains, son travail sur les bords. Il est toujours conscient des opportunités qui se présentent. Tout le monde sur la glace sait que c’est un joueur brillant et pourtant il continue de faire des choses brillantes. Il pourrait être le meilleur D-man de ce tournoi. – Craig Button sur Lane Hutson aujourd’hui

I wanna hear that from someone not named Craig Button ideally.

See? Craig Button is capable at being awesome when he wants.

  5. Button has been a Hutson fan from the start, he might have said a few dumb things to merit our ire, but I do like Button’s character

I love what Lane has been doing and hope he translates into the next Cale Makar But, I never forget Button is the same man who said “Montreal won’t even win one game over Toronto” in the 2021 playoffs. It was 3-1!

What does everyone think about scouts like mckagg and boisvert saying hes basically quinn Hughes without the straight line speed? Some people say his defensive liability wont be a problem since when hes on the ice the puck will be on his stick not on the opponents. I hope he can become at least a second pairing guy who runs the PP.

I watched this game live and came away thinking Lane had a bad-mediocre game. He got hit a couple of times, beat along the boards, a couple turn-overs… he did settle in after the 1st period with good patience with the puck, good distribution on the PP, first pass. Norway played well, I’ll give them credit. I REALLY want Hutson to succeed, but I’m not even sure he was the best d-man on the ice today
