Unbelievable officiating all night. Tip your cap to Bob too. But tbh that short handed goal was so inexcusable.

What a terrible way to end a game, also finally coming out of my GDT hibernation since we sadly lost and the streak is over😞

  3. MonarchChonarch

Issue an arrest warrant for the refs for racketeering on the ice

  4. Sven9888

First star: FLA #2 Jon McIsaac.

Second star: FLA #33 Kevin Pollock.

Third star: TBL #86 Nikita Kucherov.

Not a bad game process wise. Low event hockey til they pushed a bit in the third. Bob was just a bit better than Vasy and this team cannot break the puck out. Seriously I think there’s peewee teams that can get the puck out of their own zone more efficiently

  6. Big_ole_mudpie

Wtf is going on? DOPS has been absolutely brutal this year. Worst I’ve ever seen. This is also the worst officiated season I have seen so far. There were 8 blatant penalties against FLA right in front of the refs in the 3rd and they didn’t call a single one. They both need to have some accountability. But you can’t call out the league without getting fined to fuck. Absolute bullshit.

  7. BigBuddha15

Frustrating game. Some really good chances missed, a shit shorty given up, and multiple missed calls in the third simply because we’d had more PPs than them, despite them being a consistently undisciplined team.

  8. SwagFondue

just take solace in the fact that the Florida panthers biggest achievement in franchise history is losing 4-1 in the Stanley Cup finals

  9. MrSCR23

Happy Kuch got his 300th goal. But complain about the officiating all you want, that SHG killed us. Cannot let that happen.

Oh by the way the Rangers are next. Not getting easier

Horrendously bad officiating. Liked our game in the third though, still things that could be worked on but I don’t think this was a massive step back or anything. Tough run coming up, gotta get these points.

  11. I’m sorry that hockey got in the way of the ref show. Next time you guys are in Tampa we’ll let the refs skate around for 60 mins so you can get the star treatment you deserve.

  12. HannTwistzz

FUCK they played well too, like shit happens but we can’t really afford to drop points rn. FUCK

  13. Wayf4rer

I’m not one to whine about officiating, but that 3rd period was one of the worst officiated periods of hockey I’ve seen in a long time. Florida gets to hit and hold every player who dumped the puck in, slewfoot and trip players with impunity during ‘board battles’ where they never touched the puck, just punch and crosscheck everyone in and around the net, crazy.

Then, in the crucial moments of the game they miss three separate boardings in two zone possessions, all of which were clear as day. This isn’t even counting any of the other hooks or slashes either. Calling that Barkov trip was the icing on the cake too after they let all that other shit go. Also, Ekblad is a gigantic pussy for taking a light stick tap to the gut and grabbing his face and going down to a knee.

We played better IMO. Vasy was good tonight, but Bobs was fucking elite and the refs should be investigated for that performance. Just an insane amount of blatant missed calls. We should of had at least 2-3 more PP’s.

  15. Mythalium

Bob and the duo of Kevin Pollock and Jon McIsaac need to be issued a warrant for their arrest the way they all stole this game. Bob played out of his mind but Jesus Christ that was one of the worst officiated games I’ve seen in a while.

  16. Basil_Normal

We can complain about the officiating but it was pretty clear they weren’t going to call anything unless it was very obvious in that 3rd. I get he’s frustrated but Stammer has to keep his composure there. Can’t be swinging your stick off the ice in front of the official. They have no choice but to call that. Cirelli trip prevented a goal don’t really have an issue with that one either. Everything else both ways was pretty ticky tack marginal. I don’t mind them not calling those and letting it play out at 5v5. Game was lost on that horrific effort on the SHG

  17. Adam_Friedland_TAFS

Consolation prize, Senators beat Leafs in regulation, so there’s that.

  18. frithjofr

Can’t blame everything on the refs. I mean, we gave up a shorty.

However, my god. By a conservative count, I think there were genuinely at least 5 penalties that should have been called but weren’t.

Interference by Ekblad against Stamkos, the open ice hit hit before the puck was there.

Interference/Holding by *somebody* against Paul, late in the third where they just wrapped both arms around him when he went to chase the puck into the zone.

Interference by somebody behind the net on Jeannot, when he got his helmet pulled off.

Tripping, the « puck battle » where Pointer ended up tripped. On the replay that was a plain as day slewfoot. How that’s not called, I’ll never know.

Finally, in the last 2 minutes or so, Perbix got annihilated against the boards with what looked like a cross check to the back of the neck.

There were a few other things, and yeah, we probably got away with some too. To be honest I don’t mind when the refs let them play, but like every hockey fan ever at one point has said « Just be consistent »

Heddy should be buying Mikey a new car because if he doesn’t score that answer goal, the stench of that shg would be incredibly strong. I’m not sure if he was at the end of his shift or he just got unlucky or maybe I’m being too cynical but man. Absolutely positively can not get beat like that to allow a shg in the biggest game of the year. Overall we played well. Well enough to win. Still some things that must be addressed, but you don’t win every game you play well in, and you don’t lose every game you play poorly in. Judge on the process and effort, not just the result. Keep battling and keep improving and we can make the dance by years end.

lol of course! At the moment the projected goalie site says it will still be the epic quick vs vas matchup for sat! Let’s seeeee

  21. honkie-mcgee

A shorty! They gave up another, *motherfucking*, shorty! It’s been 36 games and they haven’t scored one yet, but have obviously given up too many.

  22. Dicc-fil-A

as someone who was at the game: had some poor puck luck in the 1st, took too long to wake up, Hedman gave up an AWFUL shorty, and the refs swallowed their whistles as soon as Florida hit 3 penalties. can’t believe they let Stamkos get blasted, didn’t call interference, and we ended up on the PK instead

  23. bankrobba

Complain all about the officiating all you want, but we got bullied.

  24. big-daddio

While Vasy made a lot of great saves, giving up 2 softies can’t happen. Especially one on the first shot on goal in the game. Put us chasing the game the whole way.

If I were playing the Lightning I wouldn’t even bother trying to get into prime scoring position just bombs away from the blue line and dump the puck behind the net.
