Totally unprepared to play. I can't remember the last time I walked out of an Islander game after 2 periods. I wonder if Wahly wants to play here. He's on a "prove it to me " deal and yet flubs every opportunity. I'm ready to throw in the towel on him. Tonight he was a -3. The players in the post game thought they played well in the first. They had FOUR shots on goal.
On a side note, the Islanders organization sees fit to celebrate Pride Night each year, yet there was not one Christmas song played during the entire month of December, not even the "secular" holiday songs like "Walking in a Winter Wonderland". Unacceptable.
Hi Gil, I only started watching in the 2 nd period 😊it was hard to believe that they played that bad in the 2 nd period. That’s why I don’t have season seats 😊 I did wear my UConn sweatshirt today. The walk thru with the Seaford house went well. HOLY SHIT isles got their asses handed to them. Hopefully this wakes the delusional up fooled by this recent win surge. Isles are nowhere near contender and will be dispatched of quickly if they get into playoffs.
Regardless of if isles showed up or not this game just showed how flawed isles are. Got whooped 5×5 by a highly skilled pen team. Special teams played no part in game with no s t goals. I'm just surprised letang with 6 pts. pens didn't score a few pp goals for good measure. TELLING STAT-Letang, +6. His partner petterson +5. Isles top fwds. 13, 14, -3. Isles are such a weak 5×5 team with recent goals surge only because of improved pp throwing in 2 goals per game. And this game shows isles really need 3 and 6 back in line up. Teams will expose undermanned d eventually. Sorokin had no chance, was best just to get him out early this game. Anyone that can find one bright spot in this disaster i'd like to hear it. No excuse for this fiasco. Lame-o coach once again to blame, just a one game blip, or are isles heading for a second half tailspin? Re-match in pitt. this weekend will tell more. Isles lose second game to team they beat. This game was a complete mismatch. We'll see if lame-o can get isles to respond after this ass kicking and trip to av's, az., vgk after pitt. Pretty scary what a highly skilled team like pens clicking on all cylinders can do against an old slow ass team like isles. Pens are the team that can still get hot with time to get back in playoff race. This game is proof why lame-0's coaching ability should really be questioned. And jarry now leads nhl with 4 shut outs.

I agree with practices without puck…but if Im coach I did it after the game..Lambert has mo respect from this guy's and he must go…..to bad that we cant bench whole team…..good luck to Walstrom he will shine someplace else belive me
I feel we have seen too many effortless games this season. As for Sorokin, I think something is off with him. He has been average this year and don’t think teams fear him as maybe they once did.on a side note I do feel it was a victory for keeping Sid off the score sheet(I try to find silver lining with horrible lose like this game). As for the offense, would like to see someone with a killer attitude on this team. Forget the selfishness passes and just shot if you have an opportunity. 4-6 shots a period isn’t cutting it.
It was a good night to be out while I DVR the game. Now I can just delete it. Real time saver. lol
Hey gil I’m starting to get tired of hearing well Sorokin gave up goal when guy was uncovered, well don’t we pay him as a top goalie in league cause he suppose to stop a lot of those? He’s not main problem but his play has been average at best not living up to contract now.
