Connor McDavid has 10 goals total in the postseason. Mackinnon yes has been to the playoffs more times but has 25 goals. He just takes it to another level when the lights shine brightest. McDavid has yet to show that ability

It’s interesting that he is known for his speed but the first two goals highlight how good his shot is. Most experts will tell you McDavid is better, and generally the eye test will support that, but look at the success of the Avs, how quickly they turned it around and how key MacK’s leadership has been. Obviously Sakic, Bednar and Landy are super key as well but MacK drives the desire and intensity aspect.
Mackinnon is to Lemieux what McDavid is to Yzerman.
