Good morning Hildebeast! Typically I’d have thought that this is just a callup for a guy to sit on the bench like Petruzzelli got last year, but we’ve got a back to back tomorrow and the day after, maybe he gets a game? I wasn’t in favour of bringing him up this year but now that he’s up I’m cheering for the guy.

I look forward to him winning the Conn Smythe this year.

Him being called up doesn’t mean a move for another goalie can’t be made before he actually needs to play a game.
It also will make the team look far less desperate for a goalie and lessen the chance of another team playing hardball because they can sense the desperation.
That being said, there’s a legit chance hildeby does see game action and damn would it ever be clutch if he could provide league average goaltending.

This is almost a monkey paw. This team was doing nothing with Samsonov, but sending him down may derail the giants development.
