Great the next coach they should hire for the Job is Nick Nurse. Now before you say he's from a different sport. I don't care as long as he leads the team to the championships.

Yorkie is right. This team needs to learn how to play defense. Throw everything out the window and start from scratch. It's going to take months to get rid of DJs willy-nilly everybody all over the ice routine.

Well yes, to a degree. If you're selling a product that the customers don't want to buy, and you ignore them, then it'd be foolish not to at least listen.
Now at least we'll get a better sense of the truer problem. If their record improves, we'll know it was in fact a coaching problem. If they don't, then it is indeed on the players and we may need to shake things up further with a trade. DJ Smith has been the coach for so long, we simply couldn't assess the true nature of the problem.
This move has cured my recent onset apathy. 🙂 Actually looking forward to the next set of games.

No team can win with goalies having save %s in the 800s. Give Korpisalo and Forsberg to any team and that team will lose a lot of games. They have a great core on good term contracts. They need an NHL goalie. They need to fill in the bottom 9 and RD with size, speed and edge.
Chychrun will bring a great return at the deadline if there's a contender in need of a LD. If not wait for summer. Get what you can for Tarasenko and Kubalik. Maybe you get lucky and somebody needs a goalie (Korpisalo) badly.
I remember when Martin was fired because "he couldn't take that team to the next level". You guys probably remember that. Anyway this team is not making the playoffs. Maybe they can weed out some of the stupid stuff and that would be great. Win the lottery!
When Pinto gets back I'd try Norris on the wing.

Players dont know how to play a full game, us Brady Tkachuk was partying the night before at the UFC.
Alfie (when he was captain) had to beg Jacques to give the players a bit of freedom. If you have a team of offensive players, then you are not maximizing your potential if you go hogwild on defense. DJ Smith did not have a solid defensive system. The constant poor goaltending by Ottawa goalies may be the result of DJ's system. Torts would go crazy with the present Sens. However, coaches like Tort do not last long with a team.
I liked DJ personally and I don’t even know him I use to watch him play for the baby leafs in St. John’s Newfoundland when I was younger but he wasn’t a good enough coach at this nhl level things are changing all the time wish nothing but the best for DJ!
DON'T KNOW WHETHER THIS WILL ACTUALLY HELP OUT; I FEEL THE ISSUE IS A LARGE QUANTITY OF IMMATURITY AND THAT REQUIRES PLAYERS ACTUALLY PUT OUT THE REQUIRED EFFORT ON EVERY DAMN PLAY RATHER THAN THE CURRENT LACK OF INTEREST SHOWN AT TIMES DURING THE GAME. YOU CANNOT COACH THE SELFISH ONLY THOSE THAT COME TO PLAY EVERY SHIFT GAME TO GAME. THERE ARE NO MORE THAN SIX PLAYING ALL OUT ALL OF THE TIME. SO DISAPPOINTING !
