BONNE NUIT DALLAS!
Dominant game by Slaf tonight! Six points in his last five, seven in his last eight – the production has started to show, and he just keeps getting better. Massive 200-foot game; his effort backchecking got Harris the puck for the 3-1 goal, and his spin move on the powerplay held the line for the 4-1 goal from Caufield.
He’s absolutely earned his spot on the top line, and easily could have had several more points tonight (especially if any of those damn empty net attempts went in!).
1st Star: Montembault.
2nd Star: Montembault.
3rd Star: Nick Suzuki.
I have aged greatly
Insane game for monty
Was never in doubt. GHG
Man slaf deserves so many more points than he has lmfao
They just wanted Kid Caufield to have the GWG that’s all that was. They could’ve totally won those faceoffs
Good game. Dallas should have been killing a double minor at the end so it shouldn’t have come to that but whatev.
Slaf could a had 4 points tonight, great performance, just wish he’d get rewarded a bit more! He set up 2 great chances on the empty net too and they couldn’t convert.
Those last 6 minutes felt like 6 years holy fuck
Suzuki’s 8p in his last 6 games it seems like, lesgoo
Slaf is going to have so many games like this one where he only has 1 point but actually made 3 goals happen. Board battle on Harris’s and got the puck in the zone on Caufield’s. He’s a beast. Great game!
Can’t believe we are 9-0 when leading after two periods, it feels like we blow a lot of leads … not in the third period apparently
Pff EZ win
The game is signed by Suzuki but even more by Slafkovsky… yet it’s still just 1 point for him.
I don’t know what MSL fed the players but it was a great game tonight.
.500 trip in this time of year is no joke. Kudos.
Holy fuck what a game! Snacks the brick wall, birthday boy getting a goal and our defense is still scoring!
Montreal first city to have their NHL and PWHL teams win on the same night. Great day for hockey!
suzuki at 34 pts in 37 games while having only 2 other competent forwards on the team
what happened to anderson? was watching the dallas broadcast and they didnt show a replay

*GOOD*
– They won the game in a place that is not easy to win in against a good team. Captain obvious here but Unfortunately I missed the first period so we need some filler content.
– Monty. Excellent. That’s what good goalies do, they bounce back after a not so good start last outing. Liked that they went with him again and anything to get away from the pure houseleague antics that is the three goalie system let’s gooo. No but really he had some dynamite saves.
– Suzuki was good once. Streaky goal scorer and when he gets on he is on even beyond the scoresheet. Well done from the captain.
– Caufield heater.
– Defensive goals continue.
– Fourth line I’ve liked lately. Stephens works hard and Pezzetta nailed someone which stood out.
– Slafkovsky on the boards! Animal
*BAD*
– I’ve been saying it all year. The Habs are way too passive in their own end. Pressure somebody. This is a large reason for why they struggle holding leads, team starts throwing everything at them and they go to the equivalent of prevent defense in football. Coaching staff should address this I hope.
– Watching highlights looks like Matheson fumbled on the first goal and even when I watched the two periods later he was doing the usual turnovers. Don’t get me wrong, he brings something in footwork and speed that few in the league do and mistakes will be made but way too many lately.
– Looked like a bad injury for Josh Anderson who found his game lately.
I don’t want to focus on the 6 on 5 struggles because that was a really well played road game against a good team, and headed by the future of this team. Great win.
Amazing 54 minutes. Terrifying 6 minutes.
Slaf now has 6 points in 5 games and was a huge part of 2 goals that he didn’t get assists on tonight.
His growth in the last 2 months is astonishing. He is very good on D and has really solid vision. If he can get his release up for next year he will look like an outright star.
Slaf has gone from a probable top 6 player down the road to battling Suzuki for our best forward.
Suzuki is still our best forward, he has also taken another step of late and is solidly closing on point per game territory.
Ps I miss Dach, he would have made this so much more dynamic.
I feel like Slafkovsky’s style of play is going to lead to a career where his point totals disproportionately undersell his impact, because he has only one assist tonight but he made two other goals happen, and that’s been a pattern for him this year. Anyway, very happy with how things are going for him.
Please be okay, Josh.
Montembeault a vraiment bien joué
Slaf signature move is pulling 2 guys along the board and coming out with the puck, and he makes great plays when it happens. Dallas looked like fools on that PP with 2 of their guys high up in the zone lol
Every game that passes makes it pretty clear Slaf was not only the right pick, but is also going to have a huge impact on this franchise.
