I'm disillusioned with Vanecek. We credited him constantly with making "timely" saves last year. He isn't making them this year. I'd like to see them play Daws and/or Schmid to see what we have there but, unfortunately, I think they're going to keep playing Vitek. When you have young defense, you've got to have a solid goalie who can bail out their mistakes. We saw Daws do it in one game vs Ottawa. It felt like a revelation to me: this is what it's like to have reliable goaltending.
VV prob is he’s too young. Mentally. He worries way too much. Maturity wins games. VV needs to chill under a palm tree with a pina colada and freeking relax.
Consistency is the name of the game. With the injuries we've dealt with this season, let's keep the next man up attitude and all be responsible on the ice.
