It seems people in that sub enjoy hating on the panthers for the most part
r/hockey has an anger boner against Cousins and the Cats. It’s essentially free karma for Bruins and Leafs fans.
I agree there wasn’t much he can do, he was finishing his check. I get why the Yotes went after him but nothing malicious.
I also encourage you to avoid r/nhl – the people there are out of their minds. Psychologically speaking, slow motion replays make us humans perceive intent. Thats what all the morons there see, is a slow motion video with no context. Crouse dropped to a knee for no reason and Cousins was trying to get out of the way and avoid a worse hit. They dont see that. They think Cousins was flopping as well after the brutal, intent to inure play. I’m truly worried for humanity.
The only issue I have with the cousins hit is that as the Yotes player drops to his knees Cousins elbow comes out and gets him in the head. Agree it’s 100% too late to let up. But it wasn’t to late to keep the elbow tucked
Cousins also jumped over his head to make an effort to avoid contact.
