On the road against Colorado, I'm happy with one point. As Thomas Hickey pointed out in the post-game, Colorado is simply a better team. Their star players are better than our star players. Time to focus on Arizona.
This team is SO undisciplined. They can’t get out of their own way and I haven’t seen any improvement since opening night. Until proven otherwise, they’re nothing more than a .500 team.

Gil, how about an episode on how lucky we’ve been playing versus this pathetic goaltending? Their is know doubt this is the worst goaltending I’ve ever seen league wide. We probably should have been shutout tonight. lol I’m guessing at least two weeks for varly and bortuzzo is probably done for the season.

Mayfield has to stop taking penalties. 2 last night, including the late one that turned a win into an OT loss. In the end, the Isles almost beat a better roster. If they beat Arizona and take Vegas to OT, I'll be happy.

That penalty against Reilly that led to the tying Goal,was Bull. That being said Avalanche is a far better Team and we’re lucky to get the point.
Gm Gil. The team have reverted back to taking stupid and untimely penalties. Butch Goring's comments about Dobson being a future Norris trophy winner are pure wishful thinking. When did Victor Hedman, Ray Borque, Denis Potvin game in and game out take stupid penalties? This team just lacks on ice leadership and accountability. And to your point, this team went up against an elite club because they themselves are not elite. Watching Scott Mayfield take yet another stupid penalty has me wondering what he's doing in the lineup. You do have to wonder what this team's real identity is and where they will end up at season's end.
Hi Gil, I’ve been traveling and out of touch, sorry Gil. What can we say? Remember I said my concern is our guys returning and losing? Mayfield is back and he’s contributing to the other team! Takes too many penalties, too many giveaways and to await his decline over the next few years will be discouraging. I like the guy but we have to wait for possible playoffs to see him excel. He’s pretty slow in essence. Count? Geez his coaching is brutal. Any other coach would have been shown the door, with all these collapses. I’d rather see Jonny Mac finish the year Gil. I’ve never seen a team collapse like this with the lead—-NEVER!! It’s very ironic to me—if we make it, it will be because of the loser points. If we don’t, it will be because of the same. I vote for this coach to be let go. This is simply and professionally—-unacceptable!! Take care Gil!!

Let’s be honest. Geogiev had a bad game. Dobber is good, until you see Makar and Barzy too. Wish he had McKinnon’s heart. Butchie says McKinnon shoots with his feet moving which keeps the goalie from setting himself. A point is better than nothing. Vegas was embarrassed by the Kraken on New Years so look out there too.

Watching the Islanders, it appears like they're playing 70% of the game killing penalties! They play great defense, but playing a little more time in the oppositions zone would be a huge help.
