It is so funny thinking back how bad fans are. Everybody was calling him a bust last year after he got mono and now he is one of the frontrunners for tournament mvpXD

He’s got my vote for tournament mvp if sweden wins gold.

Willander +8 in tournament. Been awhile since a bunch of nucks prospects did well at the world juniors.

Edit: to add that Hunter Brzustewicz got shafted not named to usa. Probably would have done reasonably well.

These ELCs over the next few seasons are what keep teams in contention long through their window. Especially with the OEL buyout.

Its hard not to get excited watching his potential and skill. He’s gonna be a weapon on Petey’s wing.

That’s a lot of cigars so far for chef Alvin

Starting to show why the team was outright giddy he was still there at 15. Beaming smiles all around. It was a smaller version of Benning sprinting up to take Hughes before everyone realized how bad they fucked up.

It’s funny cause everyone called him a pure perimeter shooter but, to their credit, in the post draft interviews I remember the Canucks scouts insisted there was playmaking and a full game there. It’s looking like they were correct.

it’s already a good day and the puck hasn’t dropped for the canucks

His shot should be outlawed, it’s too insane.

  9. His shot is insane, but he’s been an absolute dog at retrieving the puck too. Love to see it

What a time to pot two goals, including the game winner. He’s had a very impressive tournament.

So what are we putting on the Lekkerimaki sushi rolls when this kid gets to Vancouver?

Woke up this morning to the news that Lekkerimäki scored the game winner! Had my doubts about this guy. Very right looking pick. Can’t wait to eventually see him over here. Kinda little hyped by all our Swedish prospects.

I think I love most about Lekkerimaki that I hope doesn’t change as he continues to progress his game is that he’s a high volume, shoot first guy. So many players on this currently roster feel like they don’t shoot unless they have the exact perfect shot and it can be really frustrating so to add a guy that actually likes to shoot a lot is going to be really great.
