Scratching Kuzmenko again does not compute for me. We need to get this guy going. Let him play through his cold stretch.

  2. Almighty_Sheldor

Blame me, St. Louis made in 2-1 within seconds of tuning in

  3. HughesHronekHentai

Looking forward to the second Hughes bowl I guess.

  4. SMA2343

Ima say it. If we had Kuzmenko we would have won

  5. Infernoooo

We are 2-3-1 when Kuzmenko is scratched and always look a lot worse offensively, can we please stop scratching him because it is clear he is not the problem and better than any 4th liner we can replace him with.

  6. King-Cossack

Poor face off % and didn’t hit the net, when we did Binnington was good. Tough.

  7. One_End_3962

This is what happens when you scratch kuzmenko

I don’t expect a win every night obviously and on the balance of things this team has won so many games that they are sitting pretty in January but I am starting to get concerned by the lack of non third line production. When was the last time both top six lines were truly clicking at the same time? Petey’s been super inconsistent and JT and Brock for a few weeks have been frankly pretty bad. Hopefully they can figure that part out because that’s way more important to long term success this season.

Puck luck can definitely even out sometimes. We went from the Ottawa game where they scored a ton of lucky bounces and deflections to a game where none of the bounces seemed to go our way. Ah well, it happens, I didn’t think it was a terrible effort all things considered.

  10. smallelephantos

It kinda sucks that I feel more confident in our third line to get a goal than our top 6

  11. Sedinery_14

Decent push after the Blues took the lead, but this team just doesn’t have the talent to produce from the high danger areas of the ice.

Team has been outplayed badly in 8 of the last 9 periods, against not exactly stiff competition. Next up, playing two cup contenders back to back 😬😬😬

Rob Thomas said this life ain’t good enough

These kind of games annoy me the most. I know they can play better than that but just feels like they coasted after going up a goal early.

    That was sad tbh.

  14. Trolly-bus

Learn to play a tie game heading into the third.

  15. nite_awol

we could’ve used Kuzmenko with the next empty…

  16. julesieee

I’m not even gonna blame Kuznenko if he wants out at this point. He’s not gonna change Tocch’s mind.

  17. radamo96

I am once again asking to get Petey some decent fucking wingers. I’m so sick of seeing him have to play with bottom 6 forwards then wondering why his line can’t produce.

  18. This was mostly an even game but we needed our top 6 to score and unfortunately we missed our best chances. The faceoff losses also didn’t help give us a chance.

I know people are upset about Kuzmenko and agree Lafferty didn’t look good there tonight but I don’t think Kuzmenko is this scoring game changer like everyone is treating him as. He’s still struggling this year and he hasn’t scored in the past 2 games despite his line producing. With that all said, the constant line shuffling in the top 6 is a big issue and is ruining both lines chances of developing any chemistry together.

  19. CheesecakeOdd2087

Canucks looking like Team Canada at the World Juniors with the inability to hit the net tonight.

  20. shadownet97

Off topic but Avs pull their goalie down 4-3. They tie it.

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FUCKING SKATE AND HIT THE NET SOMETIMES??!?

  21. TheKeeper122

We had our chances, didn’t get the bounces and didn’t hit the net enough. Can’t win them all

  22. CoedNakedHockey

5.5 million in the press box is fucking brutal. Trade him or play him, you can’t keep doing this

  23. Adventurous-Cat4653

What happened to the top six and the powerplay

  24. MoistImagination69

We just could not hit the net tonight, I’d say we had the better chances overall but that could just be my homer glasses.

  25. Only-Nature7410

They need to know what they have in those younger players.

I would think maybe they want to see what their development is like before coming considering moving players or not.

  26. prophetofgreed

They need to give Pettersson help if they want him to produce in 5v5. You can’t just rely on him to carry his line all the time.

Tocchet being stubborn about his system will and has always been his biggest flaw.

  27. AverageMaleAged18-24

When your 3rd line is your most consistent, productive line, something is wrong. Lafferty, Pettersson and Mikheyev isn’t working. I’d rather see Garland bumped up with Pettersson and Kuzmenko to get those guys going. Garland is absolutely a top 6 player, and although he is driving a line that’s doing quite well, we need to get our top guys into it.

  28. julesieee

This is Petey’s way of avoiding being voted into the All-Star game. People will vote for Miller instead.

  29. phantomgiratina

Is our strategy to score goals is to cycle the puck back to the d man at the point and shoot it hoping for a tip?

  30. r0stAnubby

What if we tried Petey with boes and kuz with millsy? Everything is in the blender at this point it can’t hurt

  31. FluidG11

Bro why the fuck are we taking Kuzmenko out that is the dumbest shit ever

  32. jackfrench9

Nights like tonight you really notice the fact that we never really filled the Horvat-shaped hole in our top 6.

We did well out of that trade and added some important pieces, but our offensive top end took a hit that we haven’t really repaired.

You can point to our scoring stats this season, bolstered by smashing SJ and the Oilers early in the season if you want. But I don’t think we have enough avenues to goal right now.

  33. phantomgiratina

Boeser did not have a good game tonight as well as well as ever forward in the top 6 minus pius suter

  34. GoldenChest2000

Friendly reminder that 16/24 (2/3) of our wins thus far have come against teams not in the playoffs

(Isles & Hurricanes were not in the playoffs when we played them)

  35. nate_dogg8922

Tough look on Toch when the team can’t score and they got Kuzy sitting in the press box. Listening to his post game interview, he says the guys had chances, they just needed to bury them.

  36. Largebargecharge

Was karlsson in for Kuzmenko ?

  37. CheesecakeOdd2087

Does anyone else feel like the Devils game on Saturday is an auto loss? I’m not trying to be negative, but it just feels like New Jersey may as well be the fucking 85′ Oilers to the Canucks. For that reason alone I was really hoping the Canucks would win tonight or at least lose in OT or something.

  38. unbannedcoug

Bruh I thought the game was on 7 so I turned it on after my break at work and it was tied 1-1 into the 3rd. Why the fuck we lose the Blows better?

  39. wintercom

IS IT SO GOSH DARN UNREASONABLE FOR ME TO EXPECT THEM WIN EVERY GAME GOSH. /s

  40. starrynova888

Stop scratching Kuzy, we are below 500 without him. Stupid decision.

  41. NJ will be on 2nd end of b2b I’m not writing off the Canucks yet.

  42. Geez some people crying about Kuzy sitting for Karlsson in a 2-1 game… Some short memory some of you guys have. Our offense showed no sign of slowing down after putting up 6 vs Sens. Blues usually play a stringy, physical game which is not Kuzy’s strong point. On paper it makes more sense to put in someone that’s more willing to go into corners and get into puck battles. Obviously not a fantastic showing from Karlsson but I dont think he was that bad and I definitely don’t think Kuzmenko was the missing answer in this game either.
