#hockey #nhl #faits saillants #chicagoblackhawks #newjerseydevils

I said that early. I just had a feeling that Bedard was going to get hurt. Its not that he isn't a generational talent, he is just too small. I know, Kane, Gaudreau etc…I know. I just have this feeling that he will be very lucky to have a long career. Just a feeling… could be wrong and I hope I am but his head is elbow height. At his speed and his moves its just a matter of time…at least McDavid is tall and 200 pounds and has still almost had his career ended twice. Just a feeling.
Nice hit
Hate to see him injured. He’s still a kid playing with men. I’d hate to see such talent go to waste because of concussion.
But Connor set himself up to be hit. I hope he learned his lesson on entering the defensive zone looking the other way
Clean hit, keep your head up don't reach. Nhl where the big boys are
Why do you hate to see this? Great hockey game
Отличный силовой приём ! Хоть кто то сыграл против него по мужски. Респект " Девилз" .
We gotta teach kids comin up how to take contact and give contact. It’s so important so people don’t get unnecessarily hurt like this. We gotta do better.
Bedard won't last very long in the NHL. Way too small. Concussions will become an issue after a season or 2, and he'll be all done.
Clean hit. Maybe that will teach him to keep his head up. Welcome to the NHL son!
The ice view angle makes it look like the dirty hit some people think it is, unfortunately he had his head down and is also small to begin with.
If they let their young superstar to be hit like that its on their own team.
Bedard had it coming. As Mickey Redmond would say, HAH what did you think you were gonna dance across the blue line! Very sad to see him hurt but that type of play is only asking for it. He needs to keep it tame until he has teammates who can keep up with him. Until then its just him flying into the zone by himself, 175lbs soaking wet.
It is now Saturday morning and I still can not find any information on Bedard's injury status. The commentators from the broadcast I was watching suggested concussion protocol as the reason for him being ruled out for the rest of the game. The first thing I thought was that he loss some teeth. Now I wonder if he got his jaw broken. No matter … I was just bummed that the Bedard vs Hughes match-up ended so quickly. Here's hoping for a fast return to full health for both!
He’s 18 welcome to the league kid. Man up. You will be fine learn how to take a hit
Dumb ass skated right onto him, valuable learning experience. "Now listen kid, didn't think I'd have to teach you this, but don't run into a wall"
Lmao stfu with these video titles that hit was pure hockey and good to see.
Old nhl is way better. Men with facial. Chirps
I kinda hope this turns into a rivalry. Be fun to watch.
he's a smaller guy who got caught reaching, obviously hesd contact isnt ideal but Smith compared to Bedard so so much bigger and reaching makes him even smaller. Sucks but thats the game, didnt look too bad either way so I'm sure he'll be back in no time.
Love to see this. Kid's gotta earn it like everyone else.
Shoulder to mouth
Keep on going Bedard your path will be legendary!
Clean hit…bedsy didnt see him and at his speed…ran into Smith. You cant expect to just skate in and score…he ll get hit to the body if he doesnt look ahead.
Good hit. Part of the game, no matter who it is.
Respect to Smith, clean hit and took his medicine from foligno anyway. Hope Bedard is ok. He’s been fun to watch this year.
Fuck the devils 😂
Jersey Devils are DOA
Barely even hit him. Bedard needs to get in the gym
Only the beginning for bedard. Kid is tiny.
Clean hit
I'm a devs fan and I was hoping for a cool match up between Jack and Connor, I sure wasn't expecting that insane of a game.
If that sent Bedard down the tunnel Chicago is in trouble, most guys would have got up from that hit and finished their shift.
Bedard checked himself, he honestly needs a few wake up calls to cover him to a safer/more selective NHL player. if he continues his current trajectory he'll bed like Sid the Kid and not in a good way.
once or if this kid becomes humbled then he can grow into a real nhl player
I liked Smith a lot when he was on the redwings and rangers. Granted his game fell off a cliff on the rangers but he always had tons of heart and grit in his game. I find it annoying that folks want to fight the guy because Bedard skated face first into his shoulder….
Solid & clean
Good clean hit. I see nothing wrong here other than a league gone soft.
He was sold as the new kid in NHL who always kept his head up, well not this time.
I’m so sad, Connor bedard is my fav player in the NHL
I got his autographed jersey
He's not the real deal. He's a bust. Out of 800 players in the NHL, Bedard's +/- is tied for 798th worst. He has the worst record of all 100 current rookies. And it ain't because the team sucks. Dickinson is a +8. And it ain't because he's 18. So is Benson, and he's a plus 1. And it ain't because he's a rookie and rookies don't know how to play a two-way game. Marco Rossi is doing fine. No, it's because the dude is out to pad his stats and couldn't care less about playing as part of a team.
Bad reffing. Too many mediocre calls
Hate to see what? A soft hit on a rookie?
