If the Avs decided to start Georgie this game, we likely win. When your goalie let's in three goals on four shots and you go into the 2nd period down 3-0, not many teams can come back from that. Yet they do storm back and tie it. Then the Avs have to content with an absolute shit call by the refs on a bull shit double minor that Erod sold. Just too much going against the fellas tonight.

Avs fan here. Florida is a great team and certainly deserved the win. Not sure we played our best, but you can't take anything away from the Panthers. Be fun to watch the rematch. Go Avs.
You know what's funny? Regardless of the score of the game, Avs fan knew that there was going to be goaltending issues when Francouz was going to be out for the season. We had our concerns when Prosvetov was inconsistent. Hurricanes, Sabres, Red Wings, and Oilers are just other teams who were experiencing similar issues. That said, do you know what all of these teams fanbases (including the Avs) have in common? As far as I know, they may have been vocal about their goaltenders….but they are squeaking compared to the giant lion roar the Leafs fanbase make about their goaltender issue EVERY SINGLE DAY. So here is what I'm going to tell you, Leafs fans. Quit your goddamn whining. I just listed multiple teams who have the same issue as you, but keep it low key. You're not so special that shouting your complaints should be given a priority

the last three or four games the Avs were fiding themselves in a deep hole by mid-game or earlier. This indicates problems in defence, goaltending, and overall team defence. You won't win many games when you let in 4 to 6 goals every game or when you are down 3-0 after the first period.

I was asking for Bednar to pull Prosevtov after he gave up goal #3 on the Panthers breakaway but he waited until goal #4. Not sure if it would have made an ultimate difference or not, but we will now never know. There was a Panthers fan who thought he had an arm to throw a hat over a 40 foot net onto the ice from section 210. The hat landed about 14 rows away from the glass 😂 I just don’t know how I feel about the Avs goal tending right now. Prosevtov felt like he could be good but I’m just not as confident now as I was previously. Georgie I feel will be solid if we can find a way to not play him 10 out of every 12 games (or so it feels like 10 of 12)

Lots of questions about the Avs goaltending, but I think that the bigger problem is that there are questionable decisions when it comes to who to put in net. Georgiev is a very good goalie, but he needs rest and he’s really not been getting it. And then Prosvetov gets the start against the Cats when there were chances for him to start against the Sharks or Isles last week

Avs need to go for a starting goaltender, never mind a backup. Of the goalies that have 1000+ minutes this season (37 so a decent approximation of starters), GeeFourgiev is 29th in Sv%, 32nd in GSAA, 36th in Medium Danger Sv%, 37th is MD GSAA, 30th is LD Sv% and LD GSAA.
These teams could meet at the Stanley Cup finals. And I'm sure it would be entertaining as heck!
