From what I get looking at his posts today is that we’re lucky to even be in the hunt with how the team is playing from an analytics standpoint. Hopefully the boys pick it up soon.

I think JJ still has like the third worst GSAx in the league, Tomkins is slightly below replacement and Vasy has been exactly league average. I think well still not great, and Vasy does need to be better, the goaltending stats are being tanked by JJ (which is to be expected going into the year).
Everything else passes the eye test imo, we’ve been average as fuck

Yeah it’s incredible how fast and hard the drop off has been since 2021 ended. Losing Palát, Coleman, Gourde and Killorn tremendously fucked us.

We are a .500 hockey team with aging stars and only one consistent player. Might be time to blow it up and trade vasy, Hedman, and stamkos while they’re still worth something. It will help us retool and gain draft capital while freeing up a TON of cap space.
