They traded Barrie cause his asking price for an extension was too high and they likely didn't wanna lose him for nothing next summer. Not cause they drafted a couple promising d-men. It'd be dumb to expect Makar or Byram to fill Barrie's shoes this year. They needed a 2nd line center and weren't keen on waiting for Newhook and they weren't gonna give Barrie what he wanted on an extension.
I don’t get it Colorado’s apparently have all the star players but they got lots of room for the cap Toronto gets a couple of guys and we have cap problems but yet we’re one of the richest teams in the league why can’t this team get it together and at least get to the final 4 these is out of hand now

I would trade Mathews for the top two goaltenders available, in my opinion, your team cannot score goals, when they are too busy blocking shots! IN MY OPINION! no offence to anderson, but every player has a level, and andersen has reached his, and it may be too lowanderson needs to prepare better for secondary shotattacks!
