  1. I feel like the only person on Earth who recognizes what a tragic catastrophe this is for Flyers fans. Im so sick of consolation prize prospects. I look around the league and I see Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin, Tavares, McDavid and on and on. But we never draft them. No we get a bunch of guys who cant hit the net, are small or slow or they cant skate well etc. its driving me insane for rhe past decade or more

  2. After seeing everything over the last day or so, I'm completely with you on his attitude problem. I was with you on re: the attitude problem when it came out that he wouldn't even meet with them when they went to Sweden. The kid has let it all go to his head and thinks he's above basic respect like meeting the team that drafted you and owns your rights. Even if it's to tell them to hit the road and that he's not going to come here. Fine. I'll be disappointed, and am still a little bit disappointed. At the end of the day, they traded a prima donna who thinks his stuff don't stink when he hasn't played a single shift of NHL hockey and thinks he can call the shots for a kid who knows players here, likes players here, and is enthusiastic enough about the team to join us as soon as absolutely physically possible after being traded. Drysdale is gonna be here for a long time, and honestly I think the Flyers won out. They get an excellent D man and have to now find a C. That's not too terrible, since they would have needed to find both a C and RHD if Quitter the winger had ended up here. Especially with how well this team is performing and how hard they're working, you don't not take the meeting, unless you think you're too good for it. I can't help but draw the comparison to Bo Callahan. I wonder how many people go to Quitter's birthday party…… I'm so glad that they're not going to have that poison in the locker room. If nothing else, the culture of what they're trying to build would have been completely destroyed.

  3. I think this is a huge setback. I was really looking forward for Gauthier to be a Flyer. Maybe I'll feel different after the initial shock is over…not sure. Hopefully, Drysdale will be a fine addition, we shall see. I like Briere/Jones so far from what I see, time will tell. Chuck Fletcher was a disaster. The direction of the team does show promise, but they need much more offensive skill. Let's hope we can find more skilled prospects in the future. Some folks are saying the Flyers deserve a payback comparing this to the Lindros deal. I don't believe in Karma, but the shoe does seem to be on the other foot this time. The one thing that always bothers me about the Flyers style over the years is their time of possession (or lack of). It seems the other team always controls the puck more. Perhaps it's my imagination, I don't know. I would love to see the actual numbers. Thanks Jason.

  4. I hate when other social media influencers are comparing this event to the Lindros thing. This was far from that event. At least Lindros had the balls to tell the other team not to draft him. This is different-his parents and Cutter handled this situation poorly-not business like at all.

  5. I feel like he’s in for a huge wake up call. He just put a huge bullseye on his back not just by the flyers but by all players around the league. Hes gonna have to work hard now for time and space all while having a ton of pressure to perform. I don’t think hes built that way.

  6. That's the biggest thing for me. And something this is being glossed over ignored in the grand scheme of the coverage of this trade. Freezing out the organization for 8 months without any explanation, screams arrogance and entitlement.

  7. Jason you nailed it. The way the organization kept it tight lipped and made a trade with nothing leaking is a GREAT SIGN that our front office is TOP NOTCH. I like the player we got in return and if a player doesn't want to be a Flyer then send them else where. Again I really like the direction the Flyers are going.

  8. Unfortunately the fallout from Cutter situation will be Flyers needing to trade Carter Hart in order to get potential top line C.
