I could see him in Laval, we already dont know what to do with all the D’s we have tho. But He could def help in Laval.

Feels like they’d need to clear some space for him beyond waiving Lindstrom. Still a ton of prospects in Laval and overflow in Montreal. Maybe they’re getting close to trading a defence prospect for a forward prospect, but if not, seems crowded.

With the crapshow that is Kloten this season, hopefully he can. I don’t see him staying there being beneficial to his development.

  5. Would be good for the kid, get him out of that train wreck of a team.

The main reason he would stay is to finish his degree but if he’s on board with leaving early he needs to gtfo of that shitshow in Kloten. I think with all the injuries Mailloux is the only on paper RD in Laval, so I think room would be made easily.

    Why Laval?

For example, Dalibor Dvorsky was picked as #10 in 2023 NHL Entry Draft and he started his season on loan in IK Oskarshamn, Sweden. Because he was struggling there, St.Loius recalled him and he is now playing in OHL in team Sudbury Wolves (21 games, 18 + 17).

So why he should play in Laval, when he can be moved into Sarnia (because CHL Import draft) to adapt for NA rinks?

JF Houle was hoping Lindstrom would clear waivers to add a RD to his squad. Guess Reinbacher will get the early call instead.

  9. They can only recall him to the Habs. Says right there in the tweet.

Anything to get him out of that kloten disaster, apparently Hughes talked to the coach earlier this week and reinbachers last three games were his best of the season. Hopefully that’s enough for Hughes to get him out of there

  11. I hope so. Laval needs better D and Kloten is like the worst hockey team in the world rn.

Honestly, for development purposes? Yes. Kloten is having a poor season, and he’s likely getting hurt being asked to do more than he’s ready for.

Putting him in Laval would get him early opportunities to get used to NA hockey with some reduced minutes, and new coaches would be the best for his development right now, IMO. Rather than do what we normally do. Throw them in, they underperform, everyone is angry/frustrated.

Development can be better, but the club needs to work at it.
