So right now it’s leaning towards Vancouver-LA-Edmonton as the top three in that order, and a first round series against the Kraken that they’re expected to walk through. Then a coin flip in round 2.
What’s interesting about this is I don’t remember it being this optimistic until this road trip. And a lot people were pumping the breaks until the team had this road swing as it was their first real test of consistent games against playoff calibre teams all in a row, and on the road. I imagine that probably added to the boost pretty consistently as those kind of wins always play well in these sorts of models and the PDO heater never ending is probably breaking the spreadsheet.

Can we just talk about how this whole Stanley cup contention like came the fuck out of nowhere? Last season we didn’t even make the playoffs and it was most people goal to just reach them this year and have some players develop and what not but to be in a legit contention position this far into the season and have all pistons firing is awesome. We could actually win it all this year. It seems so random. I don’t even think the city realizes how good we are this year it seems much different then the 2011 era.
