I listened to John Short on 630 CHED radio I think it was . He had a lot of good insight and knowledge about sports .
I do remember the odd time John would get frustrated and impatient with callers , that was when he was at his best, setting the record straight ☺

Leon didn't give the Oilers a discount. That was a massive risk the Oilers took, giving him that deal when they did. At the time Spector said it was an overpayment and that the deal was a huge risk. Now he says it was a discount. Lol
Did Drai out perform the deal? Absolutely. But in no way was it a hometown discount when it was signed.

Don't take this the wrong way, but from what I've heard about Brownlee,… sounds like he was "that guy". Even saying that, sorry to hear he passed.

I understand that the guy has been around a long time and you chose to bring him on to talk about the passed gentlemen. But this guy is a professional oilers troll. Why you would actually choose to give him anymore exposure when he is already getting way too much(should be barred from oilers press conference). He is terrible and it surprising you would give him air.
Ps. I've been saying for months….drai signs a 3-4 year deal Team friendly and mcdavid signs a 2-3 to match it and give them a legit shot at a cup. And then the will sign wherever is willing to pay.
