I’m a bit confused why people are so mad? I know we lost but we played a solid 60 mins and let in 1 against a very good Canucks team. They put in solid effort and were playing with heart.

Canucks last year were very much like the Sabres this year. High expectations but falling far short. They changed their coach around this time last year and got much better.
We didn’t get goalied. They had a higher expected goals than we did. We just don’t generate high danger chances, even on the power play
I can’t recall a single save that I’d consider exceptional. The Mittelstadt one was probably best, but he shot it into the glove, so…

I only caught the 2nd half of the game, but from what I saw it was positive. I actually enjoyed seeing us finish our checks a bit and make life just a bit more difficult for the canucks. We still struggled to create grade A chances though, especially against Demko who’s in the vezina conversation. But we really took it to a really good canucks team, losing 1-0 isnt the worst outcome

That physical play got me as nervous as I’ve been on this road trip. I’m surprised the hits ended up being 24 -17 for the nux. Felt like blue and gold were landing bombs.
There were a lot of negative comments about Skinner in here last week, but damn…the guy scores goals when we need them most. Missed that tonight.
My third game attended this year. 0-3, outscored 10-1, 2 shutouts. Don’t know how much more I can keep doing this.
Is it just me, or is the Greenway at centre experiment making you think that Granato really didn’t know what he was doing when he moved Tage to centre?
And poor Krebs. The guy finally has some chemistry with a player that can actually move on the ice, and he loses that guy.
