Absolutely waiver worthy performance from 17

  2. DrTurtles

Perfect way to show Barry what we’ve become without him.

  3. Jkil6150

really glad lane lambert decided to throw martin on in the last minute of the game. Trotz did this with bailey too. is there something we don’t know lmao like why do coaches keep doing this

  4. TheTigerDriver

It’s probably time for ownership to start asking some tough questions about the direction this team is heading.

  5. USAJourneyman

All that effort & we get ZERO points

Lane should have been fired weeks ago

  6. this fucking hurts man. happens way too often. as we all said before. we need change or shit will not change. get Lane out asap.

  7. KostinhaTsimikas

Engvall has been scratched for less. If I see Martin next game I’m not watching.

  8. spanini21

Played the last 5 minutes like assholes. Palmari fucking sucks. Matt Martin shouldn’t be on the ice with a minute left. Lane is an asshole

  9. 3isfordale

Matt Martin should not see the ice again. Inexcusable play for a guy who has been playing as long as he has. Also no idea why he was on the ice there to begin with, but he got the puck with a to of space to work with. 0 reason to just toss it to the middle

  10. ImmortalBehemoth

How many points can we leave on the table? Enough to screw us in the end I’m 10000% sure.

  11. bmore_los78

If Martin never sees the ice in overtime, then it’s probably also a good idea that he doesn’t see the ice in the last minute of the fucking game!

  12. Hockey 101 is you don’t clear the puck to the middle of the ice

  13. islesjets14x

Lane should’ve been fired 2 months ago. What a joke

  14. rolltribe

Has to be the worst loss of the year, along with that blown regulation loss against the Devils

  15. The_Dank_Tortuga

And that, dear people, is what’s called an « Islanders Moment. »

  16. Jkil6150

realistically 90 percent of mistakes and shit that goes on can be fixed with a leader coach who will change up the locker room, make better decisions, whatever. Lane really shouldn’t be coaching by the deadline if the silly mistakes keep coming

  17. AlCool44

The Isles Don’t Give Up Three Straight Goals Challenge *IMPOSSIBLE*

  18. Schex13

Winless since 2017 there. You thought maybe they’d kill that penalty but nah. Then you thought it’d at least go to OT. Nah. And they managed another ENG against.

  19. FriendlySlytherin

It’s a dereliction of duty on Lou’s part that Lambert is still coaching this team. Ownership needs to fire both of them.

  20. Sherman_Gepard

You cannot continually allow your players to take bad penalties and commit backbreaking turnovers that literally cost you games. You have to hold them accountable Lane.

  21. Butchs_Dirty_Area

I can’t think of anything more typical of this season than having a lead, turning the puck over, taking a stupid penalty, giving up the tying goal with 5 minutes left, and losing with seconds remaining. It’s just too perfect.

  22. SmashYourEnemies02

    Martin + mayfield + palmeri = 🗑️

  23. Palmieri’s contract has actually been hideous. $5m a year just to do good things in one month and bad things in the rest

  24. Fireislander

Didn’t watch but certified Islanders moment?

  25. djan242

I wasn’t born in New York, never lived in New York. Just started rooting for the team after getting into hockey right around the whole pajama boy incident. Then the Yes chants were there too and as a WWE fan at the time I was sold. Little did I know the pain this team would put me through.

Lack of consistency is going to be a reason we miss the playoffs if we do. Maybe it’s for the best, a chance to go in the lottery and maybe get a high pick. But a large part of it is coaching (some of it being poor play from the players as well). And if Lou isn’t asking serious questions of Lane Lambert, then ownership needs to ask serious questions of Lou.

Coaching change at the all star break please please please 🙏

  27. Mrenato83

I actually fucking hate lane at this point. Every decision he makes pisses me off

  28. ianisms10

If Lane survived the loss to San Jose and the 7-0 against the Pens, he’s making it to the end of the season. Glad I could clear that up.
