  1. Can’t win playing ahead, can’t win playing behind…

New strategy, keep the game at 0-0 until about 2 minutes left in the game, draw a penalty, score one, then win.

Maybe the Kings should try another sport. Lacrosse or something.

Wow, talk about a Jekyll & Hyde team. From setting positive records to start the season to now creeping up to one of their worst losing streaks ever. Already their 2nd longest of the last decade.

I can’t help but wonder how this one turns out if the refs call a very routine double minor when Anderson was highsticked in the 1st. Especially considering with how the PP was clicking. That said, Detroit played a very good 2nd and that’s your game.

Easily one of the most frustrating and unluckiest game I’ve watched in a long, long time. Feels like a perfect 60 minutes and nothing less is gonna do it right now and that ain’t good. Gonna try real hard not to be too bummed out, it’s been a nice day. GKG

Kopi was atrocious at faceoffs tonight. He’s looking a step behind lately

I’ll be honest – I’m one of the more positive peeps around here that keeps the faith (though I love a good joke at our expense) – but it’s hard to keep positive at this point.

Logically, we’ll break this streak and go back to normality at some point, but this is pretty brutal, man.

Hate to think how rough the boys are taking this on a day-to-day basis. None of them enjoy losing, even if it looks like some half-arsed skating at times.

What’s Craig barube up to, asking for a friend

I have not typically been in the fire the coach camp kind of fan. But after this, I’m not sure there is a reason to keep Todd and not start fresh. We’re half way through the season and may not even have a wild card spot if this keeps up.

Since some people on this sub like irrational takes, I’m gonna blame Brandt Clarke. Haven’t won a game he’s played in.

Id love to pick the brain of one of the vets, assuming they’d give an honest answer.  Kopi and Doughty must have some interesting perspective across coaches, and winning and losing streaks.

It wasn’t even a bad game. Kings didnt give up even after being down 4 goals.

    It wasn’t talbot’s fault either.

1 goal bounced off of 3 different objects.

    1 goal was on a 5 on 3 kill.

1 goal was a breakaway for Kane who is literally one of the players with the most shootout goals of all time.

The kings did not roll over and settle for a loss. They came back and fought. Hard.

My only complaint is that I wish the lines were shuffled more

I REALLY hope the second period woke them up. The third period was the return of the kings and hopefully brings back confidence.

PLD was finally looking consistently dangerous. I wonder if switching from « responsible » to attack mode made the difference. TMac should really have shuffled the lines more when he was playing well and had nothing to lose. A top line of PLD Kempe, and Moore or QB could have been a real difference maker.

Another thought, I really like Detroit’s aggressive play style. It drives me insane when we have a multi goal lead and drop back to defense until the momentum completely works against us. They were ahead multiple goals and continued to attack with urgency.

I mean statistically we have to win a game eventually

  15. pbandjam

Hey Google, who was Brandt Clarke’s jr. coach?

  16. KlirisChi

JAD had more 5 on 5 ice time than QB and Dubois. Let that sink in.

  17. gaurkingsgaur

I took a PTO day to see the kings play at home Thursday. Please boys don’t let this be a waste of a day off

Gav hasn’t been able to dance once in 2024 🥺

  19. 8 game skid fuckin hell guys

I’m still watching but these losses are really starting to piss me off. So yeah take THAT Kings management, I know it sends shivers down yer spines.

  20. leftpointsonly

Can we talk about the biggest travesty of tonight’s game?

    Dooley’s hair. Good lord man.

  21. INEEDMUNEY

Fire Todd. Now while we still have a shot.

  22. gfunkrider78

Just remember the late 90s and early 00s

  23. Sirtopofhat

I mean….the fight is still there it just seems like a lot to wake them up to fight.

  24. MajorPucks

The Oilers fired their Coach with the best franchise winning % and who got them past the 1st round of the playoffs in back to back seasons…after 9 losses…

    Just sayin’… next game…. next loss…maybe?

  25. GreenShinobiX

Man we could have been one of the top teams in the conference at one point. Remember when we were like 4 points out of 1st with like 5 games in hand and we thought the whole conference was fucked?

  26. jorgenalm

All results went against Kings tonight.

This Oiler train will pass us soon and we won’t catch it. Only way to make the playoffs now is through a WC spot. At least we would then avoid Edmonton…..
