Panda Express is the McDonalds of Chinese Food. I grew up in Vancouver, and I only ate Chinese fast food when I absolutely had to. MSG is poison. Hope they're okay after that. There was a place that used to be in Oakridge Mall called Panda Bear Chinese, but I'm pretty sure it was different. Or I was just a kid and my taste buds hadn't developed yet. I used to go to a lot of places on Main Street and Fraser Street, as well as a place that used to be on Cambie called Flamingo House. They had the best lemon chicken. It wasn't breaded. It had a bit of breadcrumbs, but was panfried. The Chinese food out here on Vancouver Island is disgusting. Maybe it's because diversity isn't that big a thing here. As a white guy, I'm used to being surrounded by diversity and it's taken some getting used to, especially when asking about where to eat out. People always recommend fast food. Best burgers? Burger King? 😂 I love Sooke, but the dining out situation on Vancouver Island is very iffy. Wild Mountain is the best restaurant out here and it's right on the water. It's not Chinese, but that's fine.
At the same time, if they're rested enough maybe they'll make sure to get the W for going through hell to get there to be worth it.
There can be plenty of weather delays flying also. Often times it’s worse. But can we just address the ridiculousness of a morning game on a weekday??? Is it a holiday in the states or something? What’s the deal??
