So happy for Flower. He absolutely deserves it. Such a class act. I’ll always remember, in the 2008-09 season, I got a ticket to meet Fleury at a collectibles store in Monroeville Mall as a gift, and this was when the team was really struggling, right before Therrien was fired. We waited in line for like, 3 hours I think, and I was 17 at the time. They came out and said that he was running late because Therrien kept the team late because he didn’t like how their practice went. Flower gets there, and I was hoping to get a picture with him, along with an autograph. I got up to him, he signed my puck, and I asked for a picture. The employees at the store said no, but he totally ignored them and said absolutely, and took a picture with me. There are class acts, and then there’s Marc-Andre Fleury. Just an absolute beauty of a person. Congrats Flower!
