Will fully admit to going to grab this to post when hearing about it on the ECH post-game live lol. According to them/the chat, apparently in order to send a player down to do a conditioning stint in the AHL they need to have been on LTIR or scratched. So that’s interesting – wonder if we see Gru go down to CV soon.

Interesting. Wonder if his reoccurring injury is creating some more issues than we know of.

Edit: what a weird thing to downvote.

He has injured his groin 3 times with us and once or twice before us, it’s possibly it’s still nagging.

The other possibility like stated could be preparing to send him down for a 6 day/ 3 game conditioning stint.

This was expected. They could not call up John Hayden without an LTIR move since they did not have the cap space. Gru has already missed the minimum days and games you have to miss if on LTIR, so hypothetically Driedger can be waived tomorrow, and reassigned/claimed on Thursday with a corresponding move to activate Gru. They could have but Bellemare on LTIR instead as the same applies, but Gru on LTIR gives more cap flexibility

I don’t know if this means anything but my first instinct is to worry about him so that’s what’s happening
