I am so insanely happy that a game where Suzuki did not play his best did not impact his linemates.

    Times are changing people.

And how the heck are we above .500 this season. Make literaly no sens to me lol

Slakovsky goal! Caufield goal!…… ROY GOAL! FUCK YEAH

    GG

  2. fortytwoanswers

Goals from Slaf, Roy, Caufield — future… is bright?!?! What a story it would be if Roy forced management’s hand like Struble and made them keep him up!

  3. pokerface33933

THE BOYS PERFORMED AN EXORCISM ON NEW JERSEY TONIGHT WOOO

  4. whiteslinky

This team is so weird. We play great hockey against the best teams in the league, and trash hockey against anyone remotely close to us in the standings

  5. RedditIsRegarded911

I think we all owe u/inglasco a huge apology. He was an absolute prick about how he got his point across, but man was he ever right about Slaf. Who knew he’d be right the whole time? What an infuriating prophet he turned out to be.

  6. MaulyMac14

11-0 after leading at the end of the second. That doesn’t feel real.

EDIT: Sorry guys, at least one in the L column.

  7. Garland68

A game with caufield, slafkovsky, and Roy goals is what dreams are made of.

  8. Sad-Extension-3413

Anyone catch that little bow Suzuki and Caufield did before their handshake when they left the ice? Price/PK vibes

  9. Busch_Latte_55

Rare bad night for Suzuki, and we still win. This team is absolutely trending in the right direction especially considering the injuries

  10. bathbwoi

Les Boys are starting to develop chemistry. It’s starrrttting watch out.

  11. Silent_Horror5443

What an amazing game. RHP looking like prime Gally, Caufield with another clutch game winner, Montembeault looking like a full starter, and Roy with his first goal!

  12. -AIRDRUMMER-

Armia with his first assist of the season

  13. Habsfan_2000

I can’t remember us being better than .500 all season.

  14. sean_psc

Goals for three of our young players and 2 points for trade bait Monahan. Too bad Suzuki couldn’t get a point on an empty netter there, but can’t have it all, I guess.

It’s funny that people (myself included) though this three-game stretch would be real trouble but we came away with 5 of 6 possible points (and two regulation wins, building a bit of a gap with the Sharks).

As I said over in the game thread, I think this is probably a temporary stint for Roy, but he got his first goal and that’ll be both a great memory in any circumstance and further motivation when back in Laval.

Despite Suzuki not having the best of games I love seeing first line clicking and the whole team carrying the captain for once! Monty is the goat, Slaf and Roy goals and Caufield finally back 100% – thank you habs for performance worth being up till 4am

  16. mikegimik

I said it in the last PGT but if we can go on an 8 game heater less series sont une possibility my friends. It’s been win, lose, win, lose all season. We have played well, stayed in games, battled, and played full games with maximum effort. It’s going to come!

  17. Probably Nick’s worst game I have ever seen him play.

4 min penalty, couldn’t win a face-off, bad passes and giveaways. He was a liability tonight.

  18. bcgrappler

Watching tonight, it’s almost like we can draft players now.

So nice to see cole taking off and slaf being the Slovak tank he is.

    Fun game

  19. douce_abeille

Caufield said don’t worry captain I got it🥹

    He is back!

  20. Suzuki had a rough night. He’s been so consistently good, but tonight the team bailed him out.

    And that’s okay. It’s a team sport.

Congratulations to EANHL2021 Legend Joshua Roy

We see a bunch of people always crying about the lack of superstars and ppg players, but we never talk about the importance of a solid defensive foundation, both on D and offence.

We’re giving top offensive teams a run for their money not because of offense, but because we have a lot of players with grit that are willing to compete and make the enemy work for it.

May not be flashy and 5-somthing wins, but i enjoy this kind of hockey the past 3-4 games

Decent defense, good compete, great team spirit, just props to our all our players for proving people wrong

Edit : Yes, our goalies are also insane, but im all for it !

    *GOOD*

    – Let’s go habs get the w on the road.

    – Really good game from Monty (again). Devils had some good looks and turned them away.

    – Roy first NHL goal. And a nice one. Nice pass from Monahan, whom given the lack of offence on our habs I would like to keep around obviously price dependent and offer dependent needless to say. But I think for what you’d get for him, which I feel will be low given what he brings due to injuries, might be better to keep but idk.

    – Watch the Struble breakout on the Caufield game winner. Absolute stud.

    – Caufield goal always good.

    – Slafgoalsky.

    – Do not look away habs are 4 points out 👀

    – Fresh in the mind but great block by RHP at the end.

    – They didn’t go to OT after having the other team tie it up.

    *BAD*

    – The penalty kill strategy is abysmal. There was a time when earlier in the game they watched Toffoli at the side of the net and gave a solid maybe like 7 seconds right at the side of the net to make a play. Later in the game gave up two by no pressure. It’s one thing playing a diamond, which is bizarre in itself, but at least have someone pressure the puck carrier a little. If the shot isn’t blocked it is also screening the tendy.

    – While we love Evans defensively I think we saw some limitations when he has the puck.

    – Some Guhle turnovers.

    – Suzuki off night.

  23. MarkovianParallax79

Is this our first back-to-back regulation wins of the season? I think it is

  24. I’m ready to over react about the next three games against the Sens and Bruins and pretend that they will decide the entire fate of our season. Who is ready to jeopardize their emotional well being despite horrible odds with me?

  25. TheRekounasShow

    4.
    points.
    out.

Guys I think this might be do-able

  26. IcyChard4

Another great win from our boys.

Man, I’m starting to feel like is trading Monahan a go, or I think mgmt. should « rethink » and talk to him on possibly re-signing him?

  27. eriverside

MonoHab honestly looked like he was just gifting goals to the kids today. He really does make everyone he plays with better.

  28. JamSauce42

Roy looked like a completely different player tonight happy for him

  29. Borth321

we are really going to draft in the no man land 🙁

  30. Bad game from the ca, should get fixed in the next one though.

Great to see Roy’s first goal. Caufield with the clutch goal.

Slaf is producing, I’m happy. SHOUT OUT TO MUTOMBO.

  31. I was complaining about constantly going to overtime lately so I guess the Habs must’ve heard that and decided to never go into OT again.

  32. JuicerBoost

I’m a fan of Matheson, but what the hell was that turnover with 30 seconds left in the game in our own zone. He had time to make a strong play at least. He just floated the puck to him on the boards. Harris also with a few bad turnovers in our own zone. The game could have gone the other way there. But anyways good win. Slaf and Cole goal. Roy with his first. Love to see that.

  33. lacoupe25

gamestat 4.11 for Harris second-best of any Hab all season.

  34. lacoupe25

CC has passed Nick in avg gamescore on the season.

  35. coldmindpsy

Man Slaf is fucking hilarious in his postgame interviews. « don’t ask me how it went in, I have no idea » cannot get enough of that kid. I don’t think Roy stays up when Andy comes back but holy I love that Roy/Money/Armia line. Army looks like he has had a fire under his ass lately and it’s really nice to see him do what he’s capable of. I’m pretty sure he’s happy to play with smart players and it motivates him. Let’s keep this up

  36. zzzzoooo

Tonight is a typical Habs game: blow a 2-0 lead, penalties and PK sucks.
Roy looks much better than his two previous games.

  37. lacoupe25

Team is better without Anderson and Dvorak.
