  1. The Canucks either need some top winger to allow EP40 and JT to centre their own lines, or they need some legit #2 centre to keep the Lotto line.
Another top-4 RHD would be nice, a la Tanev.
Not sure how they can afford everyone though.

  2. 6:18 Stop saying it that way. Petts isn't "not coming to the negotiating table." You guys make it sound like his arms are crossed and he's acting like a child. He's in the MIDDLE of an NHL season. He's an RFA. He's not "gone on July 1st." And I highly doubt, given the cap, that any offer sheets are coming.

  3. It is always said that you have to go through playoff adversity before success. Oilers had their adversity last year against Vegas. This looks like Oilers year.

  4. Elite players have the privilege to make the team wait patiently. It is a significant amount of money both ways for the team and the player, to have a contract signed with the elite player's signature on it, giving the team the idea of the remaining cap space they have to work with and the player the long term security that they deserve. No big deal, elite players like that come around once every couple of decades if the team is lucky enough. Look at Chicago and Edmonton, Toronto…. you gotta wait for your turn patiently to sign your elite players that the team will be building around!

  5. WTF Craig… your TOP 5 cup contender list that you had on TSN LAST WEEK didn't mention the Canucks at all. Stick to your convictions! IF you don't think the Canucks are cup contenders (you're so wrong, they are… absolutely) then tell us why, defend your argument. Ridiculous.

  6. This canucks team reminds me so so much of the oilers from 2018-2020. They need depth. They’re gonna get exposed by a deep team come playoffs if and when their top lines production dries up a bit like they always do come playoffs.
